In this study we have treated some of the main principles that are to be taken into
consideration having to do with flaps and grafts of the skin in the region headneck. Six
cases of skin carcinoma of the skin in the region of nasal apex at the age of 65-80 years
old are presented, in which there has been a closure of the defect caused after
intervention, with frontal flap which is refined by putting its peduncle under the remained
part of the skin of nasal region and by reducing the healing time in comparison with the
normal peduncle which is left on the surface and which makes possible and essential a
second intervention after 2-3 weeks. Our results have been very good. The other case is
a patient with a very large tumour of mesenchymal type placed in the parietal-occipital
region with measurements 11x12 wide and 8-9cm high.The created defect after the
removal of the tumour in normal borders has been closed with skin taken from the
abdominal region. The result has been very satisfactory.
