Gjendja emocionale e fëmijëve mund <strong>të</strong> ndikohet fuqimisht nga simptomat e<br />

prindërve <strong>të</strong> tyre.<br />

S‘andejmi del e qar<strong>të</strong> nevoja e ndihmës për kë<strong>të</strong> grup fëmijësh, për <strong>të</strong><br />

përmirësuar vështirësi<strong>të</strong> emocionale dhe ato <strong>të</strong> sjelljes, apo simptomat e<br />

PTSD.<br />

Fëmijët e <strong>të</strong> mbijetuarve <strong>të</strong> torturës mund <strong>të</strong> jenë një grup me rrezik <strong>të</strong> lar<strong>të</strong>,<br />

brenda <strong>të</strong> cilit ne mund <strong>të</strong> eksplorojmë diferencat individuale që kanë <strong>të</strong> bëjnë<br />

me faktorët e rrezikut për <strong>të</strong> zhvilluar PTSD.<br />

Ekzaminime <strong>të</strong> mëtejshme janë <strong>të</strong> nevojshme ndër nëngrupet, si p.sh. midis<br />

vajzave dhe djemve, midis atyre që kanë qenë në burg dhe atyre që kanë qenë<br />

në internim, dhe një grupi kontrolli ‗<strong>të</strong> shëndoshë‘.<br />
