DEVELOPMENT OF EXPORT AFTER THE ACCESSION OF POLAND TO THE EUROPEAN UNION<br />

Discussion<br />

Export subsidies are the instrument of trade policy, being a derivative of intervention<br />

measures of the Common Agricultural Policy and together with their abolition, the<br />

application of the discussed mechanism will be abandoned. According to prognoses, it<br />

will occur probably about 2013. The average sums of refunding. Obtained by Polish<br />

exporters are small as compared to other major EU states and they allow only<br />

supporting the competitivity in price aspects. They do not have any significant effect on<br />

the level of investing in innovations and new production technologies. Therefore, it<br />

seems that the measures, aimed at transformations of production structure including the<br />

applied technologies, based on innovative solutions, allowing to reach the competitivity<br />

being not dependent on price but on the value added of the products, including<br />

soundness, functionality and uniqueness seems top be the most appropriate solution for<br />

preparation of Polish exporters to abolition of export refunds. Production should utilize<br />

more and more organic (ecological) and energy-saving technologies and packages. It<br />

should be then utilized in promotion of consumption and sales of agro-food products,<br />

with the utilization of the EU funds destined for this purpose.<br />
