amount of the expended resources (spent on investments in the scope of water
management and environmental protection) was 68%, in 2005 – 69.2%, and in 2006 as
many as 73.5%.

When analysing the data from Table 1, it can be noticed that in the investigated period
(2004-2006), multidirectional variations in the value of the financial resources expended
on the environmental protection in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship were caused by:
• An increase in the value of the financial resources expended on investments in
the scope of sewage management (from PLN 236 006 thousand up to PLN 325
993.7 thousand, i.e. by 38.1%).
• Multidirectional variations in the value of the financial resources expended on
protection of atmospheric air and climate, in the average value of funds
expended in total on waste disposal, protection and restoration of utility values
of soils and underground and surface waters, and also in average values of funds
expended on other directions (decreases/increases).
