甚 麼 是 長 COVID?
長 COVID 是 指 首 次 感 染 COVID-19 後 症 狀 持 續
四 個 星 期 或 更 長 的 時 間 。 長 COVID 可 以 持 續 數 星
期 甚 至 數 月 , 即 使 患 者 體 內 不 再 有 病 毒 。
長 COVID 的 症 狀 可 能 因 人 而 異 , 常 見 症 狀 包 括 :
• 疲 倦
• 呼 吸 困 難
• 持 續 咳 嗽
• 胸 口 痛
• 關 節 痛
• 沒 有 足 夠 的 精 力 做 運 動

您 可 以 通 過 接 種 疫 苗 並 繼 續 遵 循 COVID-19

例 如 與 他 人 保 持 1.5 米 的 距 離 並 正 確 佩 戴 口 罩 ,

To strengthen
multiculturalism in Australia
Undoubtedly, Australia is a multicultural nation,
yet we are not ready to make this feature as our
edge. The 2021 National Census preliminary result
just came out.
Unsurprisingly, our national population has
increased by two million since 2016, headcount with
parents born overseas has almost doubles, and over
a quarter of the population was born overseas. So,
it is unrealistic to say Australia is still a British-type
western country.
Truly social fabrics and systems in Australia
were once built on British colonialism; but due to
the influx of Asian and other immigrants with their
next generation over the past 20-30 years, Australia
has become a unique multicultural country. Like
Singapore we work on a democratic social system,
and on top we have freedom and human right that
make here more appealing. The combination of
these perfect social values with good living style has
attracted settlers around the world.
The government has to acknowledge that
some of these immigrants are non-English speaking
thus they should not be left aside on their own.
They need information resources to help them
integrate into the community, Chinese forms the
bulk of this group. The government should not
see this as a burden but rather as an edge in a
way that more Australians would pick up Chinese
as a second language so that more connections
and communications between Australians and
Chinese be possible. This would definitely be able
to enhance the competitiveness of Australians by
making them more connections with the second
largest economy power of the world.
At the same time, the government must
promote the awareness and acceptance of Chinese
immigrants in the core values of democracy,
freedom and human right, in order to maintain
the coherence and stability of the society. People
with Chinese ethnicity come from different Asian
countries, they themselves are multicultural and
can accommodate varieties, this would further
enrich the multiculturalism of this country. Australia
should not take all Chinese with cultural varieties
as the stereotype of the Communist China whose
values are in conflict with Australian’s. Instead, the
government should support and develop Chinese
multiculturism, so as to help Chinese coming out
from totalitarian territory in embracing the values of
multicultural Australia.
To allow an independent Chinese community
media serving Chinese here more effectively can
help them free from social media from another
country making long term impact on their thinking
and value. Amid a tense Australian-Chinese
relationship, our government should actively support
local independent Chinese community media.

的 措 拖 , 墨 爾 本 的 生 活 大 致 [ 恢 復
正 常 , 然 而 新 變 種 的 OMICRON
雖 然 病 狀 一 般 非 常 輕 微 , 但 傳 播 力
卻 實 在 驚 人 , 究 竟 我 們 應 該 如 何 在
OMICRON 陰 影 生 活 下 去 , 實 在
極 具 挑 戰 。 以 下 是 我 感 染 的 經 歷 點
滴 , 藉 這 個 欄 目 , 跟 各 位 讀 者 交 流 。
肥 b 有 五 兄 弟 姐 妹 , 上 有 三 姐
一 兄 , 我 最 細 , 排 行 第 五 , 除 三 姐
定 居 新 西 蘭 之 外 , 其 餘 四 人 , 都 在
墨 爾 本 生 活 。 我 敬 排 末 席 , 但 再 這
篇 稿 件 見 報 後 的 十 日 , 亦 已 達 古 稀 ,
我 們 兄 弟 姐 妹 情 頗 重 , 故 我 三 姐 雖
在 新 西 蘭 生 活 , 仍 經 常 來 澳 探 望 我
們 , 尤 其 是 我 們 雙 親 仍 健 在 時 。 不
過 受 疫 情 牽 累 , 近 兩 年 她 都 不 能 來
澳 , 故 此 在 五 月 澳 洲 重 開 國 際 航 空
後 , 她 便 第 一 時 間 在 五 月 中 旬 抵 墨
爾 本 。
在 她 抵 達 後 , 居 住 我 二 姐 家
中 , 而 我 當 日 有 少 許 鼻 水 , 由 於 慎
重 起 見 , 在 沒 有 任 何 其 他 病 徵 下 ,
還 是 做 了 一 次 快 測 , 亦 是 第 一 次 做
的 快 測 (RAT), 結 果 不 做 由 自 何 ,
一 離 做 就 出 現 了 兩 劃 , 中 招 了 ! 所
幸 者 , 我 老 婆 沒 有 事 , 於 是 我 跟 隨
政 府 指 示 , 立 刻 自 我 隔 離 七 日 , 期
間 至 我 隔 離 期 滿 後 , 都 沒 有 任 何 病
徵 , 就 是 辛 苦 了 太 座 , 與 及 缺 席 了
為 我 三 姐 洗 塵 的 飯 局 。
五 兄 弟 姐 妹 聚 首
隔 離 期 間 , 除 了 不 能 工 作 , 正
是 家 居 房 間 坐 牢 , 如 果 出 房 門 就 要 載
口 罩 及 手 套 , 以 及 每 天 都 要 透 過 手 機
回 答 衛 生 部 門 的 問 卷 外 , 對 我 而 言 ,
沒 有 太 大 壓 力 , 就 是 感 覺 很 方 便 而
已 。 好 了 當 刑 滿 出 關 後 , 我 們 五 兄 弟
姐 妹 終 於 可 以 聚 首 一 堂 , 在 《 豐 澤
園 》 吃 了 一 餐 。 除 了 泥 蟹 等 我 們 經 常
吃 的 食 物 外 , 還 試 了 他 們 炮 製 的 「 水
煮 魚 」, 但 老 實 講 , 味 道 還 可 以 , 但
為 了 遷 就 我 們 不 能 吃 辣 ,「 水 煮 魚 」
是 少 辣 , 比 較 來 講 , 還 是 吃 回 我 們
清 蒸 魚 的 好 。 我 們 還 吃 了 「 蠔 皇 原 隻
鮑 魚 」, 用 刀 叉 吃 好 滋 味 , 是 一 種 高
興 享 受 ! 最 後 老 板 還 推 薦 了 一 尾 「 黑
彩 衣 」 活 魚 , 清 蒸 得 剛 剛 好 , 肉 質 嫩
滑 , 味 道 鮮 甜 , 好 吃 啊 !
既 然 說 姊 弟 情 誼 , 當 然 不 會 寫
到 這 裏 就 作 結 , 因 為 接 著 下 來 , 我
三 姐 在 另 一 場 合 中 招 , 而 我 二 姐
由 於 與 她 同 住 , 稍 後 亦 中 招 了 ,
在 此 要 一 提 的 是 , 我 們 三 個
人 都 已 打 了 三 針 疫 苗 的 。 再
令 我 們 意 外 的 是 , 我 打 了 四
針 疫 曲 的 四 兄 , 他 亦 在 另 一
個 場 合 中 招 了 。 我 們 五 兄 弟 姐
妹 , 在 新 西 蘭 及 墨 爾 本 嚴 格 防 疫
了 兩 年 多 , 竟 然 在 近 日 難 得 重 聚 下 ,
分 三 個 時 段 下 , 四 人 分 別 中 招 了 ,
未 知 是 否 可 以 說 是 姐 弟 情 深 , 難 分
難 捨 呢 ? 所 幸 我 們 四 人 , 全 都 是 症
狀 輕 微 , 甚 至 可 以 說 是 沒 有 症 狀 ,
而 我 三 姐 在 回 新 西 蘭 前 , 還 可 以 與
我 們 兩 天 共 聚
天 倫 , 非 常 珍 惜 , 因 為 今 次 之
後 , 不 知 何 時 何 日 再 能 聚 首 一 堂 了 !
接 著 下 來 , 就 今 次 中 招 情 況 , 肥 b
認 為 打 針 是 重 要 的 , 尤 其 是 長
者 。 打 針 後 當 然 還 要 戴 好 口
罩 及 勤 洗 手 , 至 於 是 否 中
招 , 很 視 乎 個 人 健 康 情
況 , 但 至 於 是 否 要 打 第 四
針 , 就 要 待 我 在 約 兩 個 多
月 後 , 我 能 接 重 第 四 針 後
才 再 討 論 了 。

Toyota Supra GTS

If you know anything about Toyota's new
Supra you know the controversy - it shares
many underpinnings with the latest BMW Z4.
The models were co-developed by BMW
and Toyota, and the logic is simple enough.
In this day and age, lack of market demand
for a two-seater coupe or convertible makes
it hard to justify developing a brand new car.
However, both models belong in each brand's
cultural identity, so sharing resources to
jointly develop the two cars makes sense.
As was the case with Toyota collaborating
with Subaru for its other, cheaper sports car,
The GR86.
The Supra is Toyota's halo car, which
has over four generations developed a cult
following, helped along with appearances in
shows like “The Fast and the Furious”.
Let's get the good stuff out of the way
first. This fifth generation newly returned
model, with a lot to live up to, is undoubtedly
arresting to look at, turning heads anywhere it
goes. It undeniably looks fantastic - squatting
low to the ground, with flowing lines and
aggressive exterior shapes, an instant head
turner. Its visual presence and distinction
alone is pretty damn special.
Slide inside the car and it instantly
transforms into a BMW, ignoring the Toyota
badged steering wheel and digital instrument
cluster. Everything else inside, literally
anything you touch, is BMW.
BMW-ness of the Supra also translates to
its drive-train. Exhaust sound? BMW. Engine
character and power delivery? BMW. Throttle
response? BMW. Steering feel? BMW – but
to source an in-line six engine we're not sure
there's anyone better than BMW.
Toyota engineers have tweaked the
chassis such that the Supra tackles corners
with great accuracy and responsive, much
more alert and aggressive. The steering
is sharp and instinctive, nicely weighted,
especially in 'Sport'. The front end is eager
to turn in so the car is easy to place through
corners. Driven hard it will squirm around,
rear wheels always eager to break traction; it
feels light.
The Supra is 115kg lighter than the Z4, and
feels lighter than its 1,505kg kerb weight. The
wheelbase is 2,470mm, with 1,294mm height,
4,379mm length and 1,854mm width. It is a
fantastic handling sports car - moving across
the tarmac gracefully and delightfully.
Its aluminium/steel frame has high rigidity,
very short wheelbase, wide track and low
weight and centre of gravity, all aiding its
dynamic abilities.
The 3.0-litre engine pumps out 285kW
of power and 500Nm of torque. From zero -
100km/h takes just 4.1 seconds.
The Z4 and Supra have different and
distinct characteristics, with the Supra a much
more focused and capable sports car, very

easy to handle and riding well, with extremely
forgiving suspension even in 'Sport' setting -
much suppler than the Z4.
There is a passable amount of daily
practicality with 296-litres of space beneath
the rear lift-gate, which are 26-litres more
than a Yaris 5-door hatchback.
Over decades and model upon model
BMW has consistently built premium, highquality
cars delivering sharp and engaging
driving dynamics, which the Supra benefits
from. The car feels premium and high-quality,
with modern, sophisticated technology and
equipment. You get a lovely engine that
pours out plenty of power. All packaged in
a beautiful, comfortable but also really fun to
drive car.
Yes, it may look and feel German, but that
means you get German technology, quality
and precision.
For die-hard purists, the BMW-ness of the
new Supra may be too off-putting, but I am
willing to bet nine out of 10 people like it once
they have driven it - the car is just, better.
Delightful to drive and gorgeous to admire,
the new Supra definitely still feels like a
special car - my true opinion.
This new Supra absolutely works, and also
feels that it will age well. Better Toyota have
BMW build this car rather than it doing a halfbaked
job on its halo model.
I will admit, this part-German, part-

Japanese Supra struggles a little when it
comes to its pure individual charisma, but
there is no denying that it is a cleverlydeveloped
and well-built sports car that
absolutely delivers when it comes to driving
fun.
Simply “The new Supra is just a bloody
good sports car”. It handles like a dream
machine.
No matter what you think about its BMW
bones, there is no getting around the fact,
the Supra is an engaging, exciting and great
sports car.
It is thanks to the collaboration between
BMW and Toyota that this new Supra exists,
which deserves to be celebrated no matter
what you think about the smattering of BMW
parts in and outside the car.
Sitting behind the wheel of the Supra, you
cannot help but feel rather special, and even
more so when you see everyone staring at
you or even taking a picture.
The GR Supra is offered in two grades
priced from $84,900 for the Supra GT, with
the top-of-the-range GTS variant starting at
$94,900.
A comprehensive suite of Toyota Safety
Sense features ensure excellent occupant
safety, with standard systems including
active cruise control, blind-spot monitor, rear
cross-traffic alert, lane departure alert, rearend
collision warning, reversing camera and
the pre-collision safety (PCS) system with
daytime pedestrian and cyclist detection.
The Toyota GR Supra has five-year/
unlimited-km warranty and low capped-price
servicing, which comes out at $385 every 12
months or 15,000km intervals, for five years.
