Zespół ryglowego dworu z XVIII wieku z krajobrazowym
parkiem i zabudowaniami gospodarczymi to folwarczne
pozostałości po osadzie cysterskiej, które po latach
zaniedbania trafiły pod opiekę Stowarzyszenia na Rzecz
Ochrony Dziedzictwa „Młyn-Papiernia”. Odpowiadając
na zaistniałą potrzebę, projekt zabiera głos w dyskusji
na temat przyszłości dworu i proponuje rewaloryzację
zespołu i adaptację go na Dom Pracy Twórczej dla
muzyków, przywracając tym samym kompleksowi dworskoparkowemu
dawną funkcję i charakter ośrodka kulturalnego.
Głównym celem projektu było zachowanie i eksponowanie
materialnego i niematerialnego dziedzictwa miejsca za
pomocą współczesnego języka. Niezwykle istotna była
integracja przestrzenna i funkcjonalna zarówno projektu
ze wsią jak i różnego rodzaju pozostałości po dawnych
obiektach z nową zabudową. Wypracowany został
katalog typologii indywidualnego podejścia do każdego
z obiektów. Pozwoliło to na zaproponowanie utworzenia
Otwartego Muzeum Wsi - nowoczesnej formy skansenu,
żyjącego organizmu mówiącego o historii Niepołcka i jego
poszczególnych obiektów.
The Niepołcko Manor –
a local culture centre
The 18th century timber-frame manor complex along
with landscape park and outbuildings are the remains
of a Cistercian settlement: after decades of falling into
disrepair, it came under the care of the Association for the
Protection of Heritage “Mill-Paperyard” (Stowarzyszenie na
Rzecz Ochrony Dziedzictwa “Młyn-Papiernia”). In response
to a pre-existing need, this project contributes to the
discussion about the future of the manor and makes the
suggestion of re-developing the complex by adapting it into
a Creative Work Centre for musicians, thus returning the
former cultural function and character of the manor-andpark
complex. The main aim of the project was to retain and
display both the tangible and intangible heritage through
the use of modern language. The highly important aspect
was the spatial and functional integration of the development
with the village, and of the remains of former buildings with
the new architecture. A catalogue of typologies of individual
approaches for each of the buildings was developed. This
facilitated the suggestion to create an Open Village Museum
– a modern form of an open-air museum, a living organism that
speaks of the history of Niepołcko and all of its landmarks.
