Strefa świadomości. Praskie centrum
społeczno-kulturalne
Koncepcja Praskiego Centrum społeczno-kulturalnego,
zlokalizowanego na terenie Portu Praskiego w Warszawie,
zakłada utworzenie przestrzeni miejskiej służącej
podtrzymywaniu tendencji rozwoju tej dzielnicy. Centrum
składa się z dwóch części. Pierwsza z nich to obiekt
wystawowy, połączony z biblioteką tematyczną. Jest to idea
zakładająca wykształtowanie strefy kulturalno-edukacyjnej,
szerzącej świadomość i rozpowszechniającej wydarzenia
związane z warszawską Pragą. Druga z nich, to tzw. przestrzeń
pracy twórczej, w skład której wchodzą wielofunkcyjne
sale warsztatowe oraz ogólnodostępne pomieszczenia
stwarzające użytkownikom warunki do rozwijania swoich
umiejętności. Forma budynku zainspirowana została dawną
funkcją opracowywanego terenu, czyli jego przeznaczeniem
pod tereny portowe. Kształt obiektu powstał jako rezultat
poszukiwań struktury przypominającej łodzie, niegdyś
nieustannie przebywające na tym terenie. Oderwane od
gruntu szpiczaste czubki dachu zabudowań nawiązują do
struktury dziobów statków. Co więcej, kompozycja budynków
ma natomiast swoją nieregularnością nawiązywać to falującej
tafli wody.
Zone of consciousness. Social and cultural
centre in Warsaw’s Praga
The concept of a Praga social and cultural centre located in
Praga Harbour (Port Praski) in Warsaw entails the creation
of an urban space to support the development of this area.
The centre has two parts. The first part is an exhibition
space, connected with a thematic library. The idea here
entails the shaping of a cultural and educational zone that
would raise awareness of and organise events related to the
district. The second part is the so-called creative workspace,
which houses multi-functional workshop rooms and openaccess
rooms providing the facility’s users with appropriate
conditions to develop their abilities. The form of the building
takes inspiration from the area’s former designation as
harbour zone. The shape of the building results from
a search for boat-like structures – boats were once a constant
feature of the area. The spiky tops of the development’s
roofs are lifted from the ground and resemble a ship’s bow.
What’s more, the development’s composition is irregular and
reference the fluctuating surface of the water.
