Unikatowość terenu Bagien Biebrzańskich skłoniła mnie
do skierowania uwagi szerszego grona odbiorców na
niedoceniane obszary bagienne oraz do stworzenia sieci
obiektów umożliwiających podziwianie wyjątkowych
stworzeń zamieszkujących te tereny. Jednostki zostały
zaprojektowane z myślą o mnogości fauny, z ukierunkowaniem
na obserwację licznych gatunków ptaków. Każdy element
konstrukcją i formą stara się w jak największym stopniu
zintegrować z otoczeniem oraz zminimalizować ingerencję
w zastany krajobraz. Modularna struktura obiektów pozwala
na transportowanie i dowolne zestawianie prefabrykowanych
elementów oraz umożliwia łatwy montaż w wyznaczonych
miejscach. Zastosowanie platformy pływającej zamiast
tradycyjnych fundamentów, sprawia, że jednostki nie
pozostawiają trwałego śladu, odpowiadają na zmiany
poziomu wody podmokłych terenów oraz pozwalają na łatwą
zmianę ich lokalizacji. Organiczna powłoka, kamuflująca
całość konstrukcji, stanowi jednocześnie przejście między
architekturą, a naturą.

at the heart of the Bagna Biebrzańskie
wetland complex
The uniqueness of the Bagna Biebrzańskie wetlands has led
me to want to direct the attention of a wider group to the
underappreciated marsh areas, and to create a network of
facilities to enable the observation of the unique creatures
that inhabit wetlands. The units were designed with the
large variety of fauna in mind, with a special focus on birdwatching
the many species. Through its construction and
form, each element attempts to minimise its impact on
the pre-existing landscape. The modular structure of the
facilities allows for the transportation and discretionary
combination of prefabricated elements. The assembly
of which at designated spots is uncomplicated. The use
of a floating platform instead of traditional foundations
prevents the units from leaving a permanent mark on the
landscape. The platforms also respond to the fluctuating
water levels of the wetlands and allow for the easy change
of a unit’s location. The organic outer layer camouflages the
entire construction and, at the same time, creates a smooth
transition between architecture and nature.
