Dom studencki na warszawskiej Ochocie
Akademik to miejsce podlegające ciągłym metamorfozom,
stanowiące tło dla barwnego życia swoich mieszkańców. Idea
projektu opiera się na umożliwianiu studentom kreowania
różnorodnych scenariuszy w prosty i odwracalny sposób –
zarówno poprzez wydzielanie indywidualnych przestrzeni,
jak i tworzenie połączeń. Rytmiczne i neutralne elewacje
uliczne nabierają życia za pomocą studenckich ingerencji.
Budynek wchodzi w dialog z modernistyczną architekturą
dzielnicy - zaobserwowane w sąsiadującej tkance miejskiej
typologie zostały w projekcie zaadaptowane za pomocą
współczesnych, nieco nieformalnych metod. Narożne balkony
- stanowiące miejsce spotkań mieszkańców akademika,
zapewniające panoramiczne połączenia widokowe z zielenią
parkową i eksponujące ważny węzeł urbanistyczny - stały się
wizytówką projektu, pełniąc zarówno ważne dla dzielnicy
funkcje miastotwórcze, jak i społeczne.

Halls of residence are places that undergo constant
metamorphoses, serving as a backdrop to the colourful
lives of its residents. The idea behind the project is based
on enabling students to create varied scenarios in a simple,
reversible way – both by setting up individual spaces as
well as by connecting them. Rhythmic and neutral facades
come to life through student involvement. The building
opens a dialogue with the modernist architecture of the area
– the typologies observed in the surroundings of the halls
were adapted with the use of modern, yet slightly informal
methods. Corner balconies, which serve as meeting spaces
for the building’s residents, combine panoramic views with
the greenery of parks. The balconies also highlight an
important urban hub and have become the hallmark of the
entire project by taking on important city-forming and social
functions for the district.
