Architektura rotacyjna. Dom studencki
w Warszawie
Zaprojektowany zespół budynków ma na celu wytworzenie
czytelnego placu na osi historycznego założenia
urbanistycznego alei Wojska Polskiego, i tym samym
stworzenie spójnej przestrzeni publicznej, łączącej
fragmenty dzielnicy o odmiennym charakterze i strukturze
zabudowy. Proponowana zabudowa otaczająca wewnętrzny
plac stanowi jedną „superstrukturę” łączącą wiele funkcji:
handlową, biurową, mieszkalnictwa tymczasowego oraz
sakralną. Dom studencki został zaprojektowany w nawiązaniu
do idei żoliborskiego budownictwa społecznego w celu
otwarcia dzielnicy na ludzi młodych. Fasadę budynku od
strony placu stanowi ceglana ażurowa mozaika nawiązująca
do detali architektury żoliborskiej. Budynek jest kształtowany
wewnątrz bryły jako sekwencja kolejnych przestrzeni–
placów o różnym charakterze, dostępności i funkcji.
Charakterystycznymi cechami projektowanego obiektu jest
główna, zamknięta galeria części wspólnej oraz publiczny,
otwarty parter. Na wyższych kondygnacjach galeria stanowi
społeczną przestrzeń rekreacyjną dla mieszkańców budynku
z wydzielonymi półprywatnymi tarasami.

Student accommodation in Warsaw
The projected complex of buildings aims to create a clear
square within the axis of the historic urban plan of the Wojska
Polskiego Avenue, at the same time creating a coherent
public space that connects the district’s fragments of diverse
character and building styles. The suggested development
surrounding the inner square is a single “superstructure”,
connecting many different functions: commercial premises,
office space, temporary housing and worship area. Student
accommodation has been designed with reference to the
ideas of Żoliborz’s social housing in order to open up the
district to younger residents. The façade of the building on
the side of the square is a brick trellis mosaic that references
details of Żoliborz’s architecture. Inside, the building has
been designed as a sequence of subsequent spaces –
squares of varying character, availability and function.
The distinctive features of this development are the main,
closed gallery of the communal part and a public, open
ground floor. On higher floors, the gallery becomes a social
leisure space for the building’s residents with designated,
semi-private terraces.
