fue creada para ayudar a las personas con discapacidades y a los<br />
proveedores de servicios a entender mejor los derechos y papeles<br />
para vivir bien en la comunidad. En la Parte 1 se explica qué es la<br />
Regla de Servicios a Domicilio y Comunitarios y de qué manera<br />
puede ayudar a las personas con discapacidades a vivir en la<br />
comunidad igual que otras personas sin discapacidades.<br />
En la Parte 2 se pueden u<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>r recursos de Charti<strong>ng</strong> the LifeCourse<br />
con el fin de de<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>rrollar una visión para tener una buena vida en la<br />
comunidad. En la Parte 3 se describe cada una de las características<br />
de los servicios a domicilio y comunitarios, con algunas preguntas<br />
de reflexión para evaluar el avance y las áreas potenciales para<br />

comunidad. La Parte 4 contiene útiles consejos para colaborar con<br />
un equipo de planificación para apoyar una visión para tener una<br />
buena vida por medio de la planificación centrada en la persona,<br />

Subsidio del Proyecto HCBS Peer Partners<br />
El Departamento de Servicios del De<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>rrollo de California subsidia<br />
el cuaderno de trabajo. UCP WORK, Inc., es la agencia líder<br />
que representa un proyecto regional que refleja el esfuerzo de<br />
múltiples proveedores para apoyar a personas y familias en el área<br />
de captación del Tri-Counties Regional Center, entre los que se<br />
incluye a UCP-LA y Villa.<br />
Esperanza en el Condado de Ventura, UCP WORK, Inc., CPES/<br />
Novelles y Devereux en los Condados de Santa Barbara y San Luis<br />
Obispo. Un subcomité especial del Comité Asesor de Proveedores del<br />
TCRC, integrado por proveedores de servicios, personal del centro<br />
regional y representantes del Consejo Estatal en Discapacidades del<br />
De<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>rrollo (SCDD), implementó una encuesta de los proveedores de<br />
servicios regionales. Al revi<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>rse los resultados, la encuesta reveló una<br />
disparidad en la entrega de información HCBS y recursos de ideas<br />
centradas en la persona a los proveedores en áreas periféricas que<br />
operan una empre<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> pequeña que sirve a personas y familias.<br />
El impulso de los esfuerzos del proyecto subsidiado se encuentra<br />
en ayudar a los proveedores a entender cómo cumplir con las<br />
nuevas normas comunitarias de la Exención HCBS. El principal<br />
objetivo de las normas y de este proyecto subsidiado es apoyar a<br />
las personas con discapacidades del de<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>rrollo a tener una vida<br />
mejor, no solo mejor papel. Nos esforzamos en darle a la gente<br />
que apoyamos más control de sus servicios, para que reciba lo qué<br />
es importante para ella: servicios que apoyen su propia visión del<br />
futuro y lo que es importante para ser miembros <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>nos, seguros y<br />
valiosos de su comunidad.<br />
