当 审 视 停 车 场 建 筑 时 , 地 下 停 车 场 总
是 被 忽 视 . 人 们 可 能 会 想 , 当 它 们 将 车
辆 从 公 共 空 间 移 走 时 , 它 们 本 身 是 否

运 中 转 中 心 , 多 米 尼 克 • 佩 罗 建 筑 事
务 所 不 断 开 发 与 地 面 相 关 的 建 筑 策
略 . 这 项 工 作 使 “ 地 面 景 观 ” 概 念 的
成 形 ——“ 地 面 ” 与 “ 景 观 ” 相 融
合 —— 成 为 可 能 ; 多 年 来 , 通 过 这 项

自 然 的 空 气 和 光 线 , 不 可 否 认 给 地 下

这 项 为 Indigo 集 团 进 行 的 地 下 停 车
When looking at parking architecture, underground
car parks are always overlooked. One can wonder
whether they were themselves victims of their mission
of removing cars from public spaces. The urban
centres of the densest cities rely nonetheless on these
underground infrastructures whose regular yet invisible
presence is absolutely essential to making contemporary
urban life possible.
Indeed, the systematic introduction of underground
car parks in city centres since the 1970s has enabled
private vehicles to be integrated into urban fabrics that
predated the car without denaturing them. In the case
of the automobile, the underground proved to be the
obvious zone to embed the new mobility technology
that reinvented the notion of the city in its broadest
sense. Underground spaces built for these reasons thus
proliferated to meet the demand, creating significant
and underestimated surface, volume and land reserves,
whose potential is all the more incredible when considering
the needs in terms of mobility and ecology of
contemporary cities.
Starting with the French National Library in Paris,
followed by the Ewha Womans University in Seoul, the
refurbishment of the Dufour Pavilion in the Palace of
Versailles, the future Villejuif Station for the Grand Paris
Express or the Gangnam Intermodal Transit Center in
Seoul, Dominique Perrault Architecture has continuously
developed architectural strategies engaging with
the surface of the ground. This work has made it possible
to crystallize the concept of “Groundscape” – fusion
of “Ground” and “Landscape” – which has for several
years gathered architectural strategies that engage
with the underground, whether by exploring its spatial
possibilities or offering new responses that are resilient,
responsible, aesthetic and sustainable. X
