Biography
Dan graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest with a Degree in Trade.
A professionally qualified “Expert Contabil” (the Romanian equivalent of CPA), financial auditor and tax
consultant, he is a member of CECCAR, the Romanian Chamber of Auditors and Romanian Chamber
of Tax Advisors.
In addition to his Romanian qualifications, Dan Schwartz has completed the Harvard University Institute
of International Development “Tax Analysis and Revenue Forecasting” programme. He has completed
the Washington State University Master Business Counsellor programme and, at George Washington
University, the Good Governance Training on Business Ethics programme. In addition, he has been granted
the “Certificat de Competence, spécialité: Controle de Gestion” by the Paris Conservatoire National
des Arts et Métiers. His extensive qualifications in the field of tax, accounting and auditing also include
executive education courses taken in Romania and Holland.
Transfer Pricing track record
Dan is part of the consulting group for the Ministry of Finance involved in the development of transfer
pricing practice and legislation in Romania. He has been dealing with transfer pricing matters for
multinational groups operating in various industries (water treatment, energy, automotive, building
and construction materials, agriculture machinery, IT, call-center and betting industry), managing the
relationships with the clients and coordinating the Transfer Pricing team within the company.
