The publication contains papers, almost equally distributed among historians from the Republic of Croatia (four: 3+1), the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, now Serbia and Monte Negro (three), and the Federal Republic of Germany (two).
Zusammenfassung Der Kroatisch-Serbische Historikerdialog ist eine Sammelbezeichnung für internationale wissenschaftliche Konferenzen von Historikern, vor allem aus der Republik Kroatien (RH) und Bundesrepublik Jugoslawien (SRJ), jetzt Serbien und Monte Negro (SiCG) sowie für Konferenzveröffentlichungen mit Plenarvorträgen und Mitteilungen von diesen Konferenzen. Bisher fanden in Organisation der deutschen Friedrich Naumann Stiftung (FNSt). Die Stiftung für liberale Politik in sechs Jahren (1998-2003) acht internationale Konferenzen statt, und im Laufe von fünf Jahren (2000- 2004) wurden acht Konferenzpublikationen veröffentlicht: Kroatisch-Serbischer Historikerdialog, Herausgeber: Hans- Georg Fleck und Igor Graovac, 1-8, Zagreb, FNSt, 2000 (Bd. 1 und 2), 2001 (Bd. 3 und 4), 2002 (Bd. 5 und 6), 2003 (Bd. 7) und 2004 (Bd. 8). Zu Beginn wurden die Konferenzen in Ungarn veranstaltet (1998-2000), und später (2001-2003) abwechselnd in der Bundesrepublik Jugoslawien (SRJ), jetzt Serbien und Monte Negro (SiCG), und in der Republik Kroatien. An den Konferenzen haben nicht nur Historiker aus diesen Ländern teilgenommen, sondern auch jene aus Deutschland, den Vereinigten Staaten, Österreich, Ungarn und Polen. Der Teilnehmerkreis beschränkte sich nicht nur auf Historiker, sondern es umfasste auch Demographen, Volkswirtschaftler, Philosophen, Politikwissenschaftler, Juristen, Soziologen sowie Viktimologen, Mathematiker, Statistiker, Ingenieure, Personen aus dem öffentlichen Leben, Bibliothekare, Museologen, Journalisten, Vertreter von Nichtregierungsorganisationen, Publizisten, Studenten und Priester, aber natürlich
