Katamo ca bhikkhave paṭiccasamuppādo?<br />
1. Avijjāpaccayā bhikkhave saṅkhārā,<br />
2. saṅkhārapaccayā viññāṇaṁ,<br />
3. viññāṇapaccayā nāmarūpaṁ,<br />
4. nāmarūpapaccayā saḷāyatanaṁ,<br />
5. saḷāyatanapaccayā phasso,<br />
6. phassapaccayā vedanā,<br />
7. vedanāpaccayā taṇhā,<br />
8. taṇhāpaccayā upādānaṁ,<br />
9. upādānapaccayā bhavo,<br />
10. bhavapaccayā jāti,<br />
11-12. jātipaccayā jarāmaraṇaṁ,<br />
sokaparidevadukkhadomanassupāyāsā sambhavanti, evametassa<br />
kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa samudayo hoti.<br />
12. Katamañ-ca bhikkhave jarāmaraṇaṁ?<br />
Yā tesaṁ tesaṁ sattānaṁ tamhi tamhi sattanikāye jarā, jīraṇatā,<br />
khaṇḍiccaṁ, pāliccaṁ, valittacatā; āyuno saṁhāni,<br />
indriyānaṁ paripāko.<br />
Ayaṁ vuccati jarā.
