NDH’s only fault was that it collapsed and compared the Ustasha
principles with the Bible.
At the start of the summer of 2015, a photo went viral on social
networks of high school students from the Prva Gimnazija (First
General Education Secondary School) in Split who posed with
their right arm raised high in the air. Mladen Leovac, a war veteran
from Vukovar and member of the HSP party who used to serve in
the special police forces, commented on his Facebook profile on
the news about a case of poisoning among pupils in Vojvodina
(Serbia) with the following words: “I hope to God that all Serbs
should perish like rats in a barrel...” Many of his friends then congratulated
Operation Storm was held in Knin. During the day, hate speech
was recorded at several locations in Knin, as was the sale and
public display of the proscribed Ustasha insignia. The celebration
ended with Marko Perković Thompson’s concert and shouts from
the audience “Kill the Serb”.
The City of Zagreb initially refused to register the Society for
research of the triple Jasenovac camp which focuses on revising
and diminishing the established facts, saying the Society’s purpose
contradicted the Constitution. However, following an appeal
on April 27, the registration was granted after all. Among the
founders are Jesuit Vladimir Horvat, co-author of the book “The
Jasenovac Lie Exposed” and Tomislav Vuković, one of the editors
of the Glas Koncila Catholic weekly, whose book “A Different
