METHODOLOGYData and instrumentSurvey was done in 2010 in Slovenia. Based on random sampling, we send 750 questionnaires toselected Slovenian organizations. A maximum five responses from same organization was allowed.We included in our analysis 155 responses, resulting in 20.7 % response rate.Survey questions included information about use and satisfaction with global most used 25management tools as identified by [23, 24, 25, 26]. Additionally, questions regarding future use wereadded.Sample characteristicsSlovenian respondents are on average 44.35 years old, have on average 20.49 years of workingexperiences, and work in current organization on average for 9.03 years. For presenting results offuture outlook about management tools use we used descriptive statistics and frequencies.When comparing use of management tools in Slovenia and selected western economies, weused ranks.RESULTSUse of management toolsFirst we examined use and familiarity with management tools. We used continuum with three values(1) I know and use tool, (2) I know tool but do not use it, and (3) I don’t know and don’t use tool.Results are outlined in Graph 1.98M&S 8(2013)
