Za obravnavo z razvitim sistemom so mo`ne baze: ORACLE, ESRI SDE, mySQL, in podobne.Omogo~ene so vse prednosti skupnega oddaljenega dela, kjer uporabniki so~asno urejajo in digitalizirajozemlji{ke parcele ter uporabljajo vse standardne GIS funkcionalnosti. Koli~ina prenesenih podatkov prekoomre`ja je optimirana na minimum. Primer uspe{ne postavitve razvitega sistema je bil izveden na Ministrstvuza kmetijstvo, gozdarstvo in prehrano (KMGP) in sicer za vnos in obdelavo grafi~nih enot zemlji{kihparcel (GERK) za potrebe prijav in nadzora kmetijskih subvencij, ki jih zagotavlja EU. Z uporabo obravnavanespletne storitve ve~ kot 500 uporabnikov na dan spro`i preko 1,5 milijona transakcij na standardnihPC ra~unalnikih pri ~emer je zagotovljena polna funkcionalnost uporabe.KLJU^NE BESEDEGIS, LPIS, GERK, porazdeljeni sistem, Java, spletni pregledovalnik, prostorski podatki, zemlji{ka parcelaABSTRACTWeb service for managing and editing spatial GIS dataWe have developed an effective Web-based spatial GIS service for complex and distributed applications andfor demanding customers. Scalable and platform independent system allows many concurrent users simultaneoususe of GIS database to edit or digitize new land parcels. System is open for ORACLE, ESRI SDE,mySQL and othe databases. All advantages of concurent remote work are enabled where users can simultaneouslyedit or digitize land parcels or use any of standard GIS features. Necessary network communicationis optimized to a minimum without hindering functionalities. The most prominent successful installationis Land Parcel Information System (LPIS) at the Slovenian Ministry of Agriculture providing applicationssubmittion and control function of EU farming subsidies.
