It was found that as a result of the review ofactive substances, carried out in the European Union, the number of available activesubstances has significantly decreased. This resulted in withdrawal of numerous plantprotection products from use as well in organic as in conventional agriculture.The positive result of withdrawals of potentially dangerous substances is predictableimprovement of natural environment condition. The results which were regardedunder Polish conditions as the most negative for conventional agriculture are: probabilityof increased resistance in harmful organisms and the problems with smallacreagecrops protection.It was found that the effects of shrinking of the already narrow list of plant protectionproducts qualified for use in organic farming are difficult to predict.
