While thesmelter/acid plant is under design and construction, RTB Bor is committed to developing a WaterManagement Plan for the Bor Complex to further address water contamination issued related to drainagefrom existing waste rock and tailings areas, and to develop new properly engineered tailings facilties. TheMunicipality of Bor through their Local Environmental Action Plan (LEAP) will also work in conjuctionwith RTB Bor to undertake a number of environmental initiatives to deal with industrial/ hazardous wastesto reduce contaminant loadings on the local river systems.Dispersion modelling was conducted as part ofthe impact assessment considering scenarios representative of historical production conditions, existing orcurrent situation, and future conditions resulting from the modernization and re-construction smelter/acidplant.
