Happy HolidaysI would like to congratulatestudents, staff and parentson the wonderful start to theschool year atSunbury Primary School.I would like to wish parents, staff and children a happy Easter and safe holiday.Term 2 begins on Monday, 15th April.School RulesTeaching staff have been discussing the school rules recently and have streamlined the number of rules there are at the school.We believe the following six rules meet the expectations of student behaviour at the school.Follow Teachers’ directions.Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.Use appropriate and respectful language.Move safely around school. Walk in buildings, classrooms and on walkways.Respect and care for own and others property.Play inclusively and cooperatively and with consideration for others.It would be greatly appreciated if families discuss these rules at home with your children. If you have any questions please directthem to your child’s teacher.Staff Car ParkI have noticed some parents and children using the staff car park to walk in and out of school. The staff car park is for staffmembers only. I remind parents and children that using the footpath adjacent to the car park is the safest way to enter and exit theschool. Your cooperation will avoid any accidents and protect all members of our school community..Uniform ShopThe uniform shop is open every Wednesday from 2.30 pm – 3.30 pm. Order forms are available from the office.Primary School Wear Online Uniform Shop www.psw.com.auCanteenTerm 2 Canteen helpers needed. Please see Lisa K in the canteen or contact the office ifyou are able to volunteer some time. The canteen will now be open 4 days per week.New Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Closed on Tuesday.Our weekly recap:Wow, this term has flown by! Last week we had fun with Brad and Michaela in theHall continuing the AASC program, attempted to conduct a chromatographyexperiment with Smarties but ended up playing a fun race/game moving them onlyusing a straw from one plate to another, made stress balls using balloons and riceand finished the week with a friendly paper aeroplane competition.Have a safe and happy Easter holidays and I’ll see you back at schoolready for term 2!☺ -BrionyOur Extend Superstar is… ALL the kids who attend before and after school care for making me feel so welcome this term!Next week’s activities: ***Easter School Holidays!
