DOMESTICVIOLENCEDomestic violence has been recognised as a criminal act in Montenegroin 2002. The first specialised law dealing with this issue is the Lawon Protection from Domestic Violence, which was passed in 2010. godine.Domestic violence by the meaning of this Law shall mean omissionor commission by a family member in violating physical, psychological,sexual or economic integrity, mental health and peace of other familymember, irrespective of where the incident of violence has occurred andenvisages the protection of victims in misdemeanor proceeding.The data collected by the following institutions are presented here: PoliceDirectorate, centers for social welfare, Supreme Prosecutors Office,Misdemeanor Court and regular courts.119
