Kaliopa Dimitrovska Andrews, udias skupinoKomisija je menila, da so urbanistične ureditve po fizičnih razsežnostih majhnih inv poselitvenem sistemu manj opaznih naselij za sodobni prostorski razvoj Slovenijezelo pomembne. Komisija je pozitivno ocenila zlasti: ohranjanje oziroma krepitevvpetosti naselja v poselitveni sistem, upoštevanje regionalnih razsežnosti, s sočasnokrepitvijo identitete obravnavanega naselja ter spodbujanje endogenih razvojnihvirov. Primer Boštanja sledi nekaterim poskusom v sodobnem planiranju, ki prepoznavajopomembnost manjših členov v policentričnem poselitvenem sistemuSlovenije ter jim daje veljavo, ki jo zaslužijo. Projekt je predstavljen natančno inučinkovito. Čeprav gre za majhne spremembe v zasnovi naselja, so te naravnane namerilo samega naselja, kar jim daje tudi stvarno dimenzijo, kar obeta tudi dejanskouresničitev projektnih zamisli.Komisija je menila, da je kompleksen in integralen pristop ključen zakakovostno prepoznavanje prostorskih izzivov in možnosti. V nasprotjuz večino predstavljenih projektov, pri katerih so se avtorji v predstavitvahpretežno omejili na fizično stvarnost, ta projekt vsaj deloma gradi naintegralnem, transdisciplinarnem pristopu, ki med drugim vključuje tudiekonomske in družbene sestavine, ki so ključne pri odločanju in legitimiziranjuprojekta oziroma pri izvedbi projektnih ciljev in legitimni uporabiprojektnih orodij. Projekt uveljavlja slovensko prostorsko-načrtovalno inurbanistično znanje v tujini, kar mu daje še dodatno veljavoThe Committee was of the opinion that urban designs for residential areas that aresmall in their physical dimensions and unremarkable within the settlement systemplay an important role in contemporary spatial development in Slovenia. The Committeeaccorded particular positive evaluation to: the preservation or enhancementof the settlement’s integration into the settlement system, observation of regionaldimensions and concurrent enhancement of the settlement’s identity and promotionof endogenous sources of development. The Boštanj case follows certain attempts incontemporary planning practice that recognize the importance of the smaller linksin the polycentric settlement system of Slovenia, giving them the relevance theydeserve. The project was presented effectively and with attention to detail. Despitethe small size of the changes in the structure of the settlement, they are set to thescale of the settlement itself, which gives them a material dimension that promisesthe realization of project ideas.It is the Committee’s opinion that a complex integral approach is of keyimportance for quality recognition of spatial challenges and opportunities.Unlike most of the presented projects where the authors limited theirpresentations to the physical reality, this project builds, at least in part,on an integral, trans-disciplinary approach that includes, above all, theeconomic and social components that are pivotal in the decision-makingand legitimation of the project; or in the implementation of project goalsand in the legitimate use of project tools. The project promotes Slovenianknowledge of spatial- and urban-planning on an international scale,which gives it additional value.43
