Ravnikarju.Podiplomski študij prostorskega in urbanističnegaplaniranja je nadaljeval v Ljubljani in na TU vGradcu. Delal je na Zavodu za varstvo naravne inkulturne dediščine v Mariboru in na Zavodu zaurbanizem Mariboru. Od leta 2001 je samostojni arhitekts svojim studiem. Za svoje delo je prejel številnenagrade, med drugim nagrado Prešernovegasklada za arhitekturo (1980), Plečnikovo medaljo(1988), platinasti svinčnik (2005) in portugalskonagrado foot bridges for urban renewal (2008).studied philosophy and architecture at the Universityof Ljubljana and graduated under thementorship of Prof. Ravnikar. He continued hispostgraduate study of spatial and urban planningin Ljubljana and at the TU in Graz. He workedat the Institute for the Protection of Natural andCultural Heritage in Maribor and at the MariborInstitute for Urbanism. Since 2001 he has been workingas a freelance architect in his own studio. Hiswork has won him numerous awards, including thePrešeren Fund Award for Architecture (1980), thePlečnik Medal (1988), the Platinum Pencil (2005)and the Portuguese “Footbridges for Urban Renewal”award (2008).je krajinski arhitekt, zaposlen na Oddelku zakrajinsko arhitekturo Biotehniške fakultete, odleta 2004 kot izredni profesor za krajinsko oblikovanje,trenutno tudi kot prodekan za krajinskoarhitekturo. Poleg pedagoškega dela doma in vtujini se ukvarja še s krajinskim oblikovanjem kotpooblaščeni inženir za izdelavo načrtov krajinskearhitekture. Je avtor in soavtor domačih in mednarodnihurbanističnih in krajinskoarhitekturnihnatečajev ter izvedenih projektov oblikovanja odprtegaprostora. S soavtorji je dobitnik Plečnikovenagrade in nominacije za evropsko arhitekturnonagrado mies van der Rohe (2001). Zadnjih deset letveliko sodeluje s pekinško univerzo kot gostujočiprofesor in sodelavec pri raznih krajinskoarhitekturnihprojektih na Kitajskem.is a landscape architect, employed at the Departmentof Landscape Architecture at the Faculty ofBiotechnology. Since 2004 he has actively servedas Associate Professor of Landscape Architectureand is presently also Vice-Dean for landscapearchitecture. In addition to his teaching engagementsin Slovenia and abroad he has been activelyinvolved in landscape architecture as a licensedlandscape architecture designer. He is the authorand co-author of many national and internationalurban and landscape architecture design competitions,with some of his open space design projectsalready implemented. In cooperation withhis colleagues he won the Plečnik Award and wasnominated for the European Mies van der RoheAward in 2001.
