Najbolji kvalitet rada ostvarila je klasična kosačica sanajmanje ostvarenim gubicima pri košenju (prosečno 1,27% od prinosa zelene mase), dok jenajveće gubitke ostvarila rotaciona kosačica sa 6 diskova (3,16%). Na ostvarene gubitkepresudan uticaj ima ostvarena visina odsecanja stabljika i radna brzina, koja ima značajan uticajna usitnjavanje stabljika. Visina odsecanja stabljika bila je kod svih ispitivanih kosačica utolerantnim vrednostima za lucerku (6 - 8 cm). Najniža visina odsecanja bila je kod klasičnekosačice (prosečno 6,42 cm), a najviša kod rotacionih kosačica (7,50 cm kod kosačice sa 6diskova i 7,47 cm kod kosačice sa 14 diskova). S obzirom na radni zahvat i radnu brzinunajveći učinak ostvarila je rotaciona kosačica sa 14 diskova (5,53 ha/h pri radnoj brzini od10,34 km/h).Ključne reči: kosačica, visina odsecanja, gubici, površinski učinak.SUMMARYThere are shown results of four mower types during alfalfa mowing: classical mower withfixed fingers, standard constructtion of mower with two sticks, rotary mower with 6 discs androtary mower with 14 discs. During mowing process the best quality achieved classical mowerwith the least losses (average 1.27% of total mass of green yield), while the largest lossesachieved rotary mower with 6 discs (3.16%). Crucial influence on realized losses bearsachieved stem cutting hight and working speed by significant influnce on stem chopping.Stems cutting hight for all tested mowers was in tolerant value range for alfalfa (6-8 cm). Thelowest cutting hight achieved classical mower (average 6.42 cm), whereas the highest by rotarymowers (7.50 and 7.47 cm by rotary mowers with 6 and 14 discs respectively).
