TOP REALIZACE 19English Villa over the lake, NorthBohemia The investor did try to fi nd „hishouse“ thoroughly, and he did not leaveanything to chance. The choice of a realestate was vital for him where it wouldhave been possible to erect a buildingfully meeting not only functional but alsoemotional needs. A house where he intendsto move increasingly his job and privateactivities from the metropolitan rush to,the house, which he wants to grow oldwith. A base for the realization of investor´sfurther imaginations was a steeply slopingbuilding site having view to a water areain North Bohemia summer resort. Theinvestor knew quite exactly what he wasexpecting of the project. He was turningover the functional relations and individualfunctionalities into details, he had his ownideas of dispositions, materials, and ofoverall spirit of the building.The investor addressed architectswhose existing works attracted him. Atthe same time, as he said, he searchedfor such artifi cers who would be differentfrom the type and generation point ofview, who would come with differentbut acceptable approaches meeting theorder. He contacted Markéta Cajthamlová,Jiří Suchomel, Luděk Rýzner, HŠHatelier and Josef Pleskot. The last oneaddressed had to apologize because ofanother job and thus only four artifi cersremained in the „competition“.
