RECLAIMATION OF THE COPPER MINECHATSEStevan Dožić, Matilda Đukić, Sara Lukić, DanijelaĐunisijević BojovićFaculty of Forestry, University of BelgradeAbstract: The old flotation chatse of the copper mine in the city ofBor was not reclaimed several decades although it was the greattreat to the environment especially for the parts of the settlement.There was not any effort with intermediary amelioration but onlywith direct measures of reclamation. In this paper are presentedsome results with of the experiment which was realised with theworks of biological reclamation. On the part of the chatse in thevicinity of the city, some variants of meliorated and sterilesubstrates were used to grow several woody plants species andgrass.This analysis show that several woody species is possible to grow onthis sterile supstate. The best results were achieved with species thatwere planted in the fertile soil over the sterile substrate from thecopper mine. Among the woody species, Robinia pseudoaccacia,Fraxinus excelsior and Acer pseudoplatanus show the best survivalpercent, growth and physiological vitality.Key words: biological reclamation/ flotation chatse Bor/ woodyplantsUVODBiološka rekultivacija je složen i dugotrajan postupak kojizahteva multidisciplinarni pristup, prethodnu analizu stanja na terenui izvođenje po fazama a potom i naknadno praćenje procesa i stalnekorekcije. U praksi su česti primeri neuspešnih biološkihrekultivacija zbog neadekvatne pripreme ili izvođenja radova ili zbognaknadnog štetnog antropogenog uticaja na rekultivisane površine.Pri radu na rekultivaciji degradiranih prostora veoma je važannačin pripreme terena, izbor ogovarajućih sadnica, adekvatna biljnavrsta, veličina, starost, način proizvodnje ,tahnika sadnje kao i merenege nakon sadnje.
