ECOREMEDIATION IN AGRICULTURE –FARMINGAleksandar JovićFaculty of Applied Ecology Futura, SingidunumUniversityAbstract: Ecoremediation is the principle which allowsrenaturalization and recovery of degraded space and / or protectionof natural capital. Ecoremediation in agricultural crop productionincludes use of natural processes in the protection and promotion ofthe use of natural resources in the realization of the production, hereprimarily refers to the protection and improvement of agriculturalland, water and air. In Serbia there is a need for cleaning certainareas of agricultural land contaminated by hazardous substances. The application of phytoremediation to clean polluted soil soimposed as an alternative to costly and aggressive cleaningprocesses of the environment. In order to eliminate the negative impacts of agriculture on theenvironment, it is necessary to develop an entirely new approach tothe production, which should provide the duration and self-healingof certain natural factors. This approach is based on respect for thelaws of biological environment in which crop production takes place. The protection of land degradation are the most importantpreventive measures, identification of hazards and findingappropriate solutions to overcome them. It is therefore necessarycontrol "health" of land, which is monitoring soil quality. But as yetthere is a degradation of land, it is necessary to apply appropriatemeasures of rehabilitation with certain technical and technologicalprocedures, where procedures of ecoremediation is very important.Key words: ecoremediation/ phytoremediation/ soil pollution/ soildegradation/ agricultural production~ 350 ~
