intended for planting fast-growing plants, 0.25% for theestablishment of forest belts and 0.25% for sand soil.As stated in [1] Petrášová, V. - Zálesňák - Lalkovič, M., lands forafforestation have been established:a) In accordance with slope position over 25 °, altitude 750 mabove sea level, the average annual temperature below 6 ° C,average annual rainfall of 800 mm, allowed the use of the slopeof 18 ° C as the basic criterion for determining areas forafforestation,b) Depth of soil profile.Evaluation of the program was not actually carried out.Forest stand that has been planted can be evaluated, particularly now, namely in terms of production and stability of forest stands. From thesocio-economic point of view, in this period, particular issues of landprotection and consolidation of plots had been addressed. At thattime right of use has been superior to land ownership. In the next period in 1991, the Czechoslovakian governmenthas dealt with attenuation agriculture program in which, inter alia, focus is aimed on the change in use of land resources trough grassingand afforestation. This Program was in 1994 adopted by theGovernment of Slovak republic. This concerned the agricultural landof the type "N" – non suitable for agro-ecosystems and in some caseof the type "T4" – low-productive permanent grassland.Localized agricultural land is crucially situated in areas whereagricultural production was virtually the only economic activity forthe local population. Since forest management is essentially lessdemanding from potential workforce point of view, afforestation isaccompanying effect of migration of population to central villagesand cities, with well known negative effects. Afforestation in theseareas should be controlled in a way, so that better utilization ofproductive potential of soils of higher quality in the region can beensured, although this region does not meet the criteria considered inthe supra-regional, national standard. In these cases, it is necessary torestrict the unprofitable production, which is typical for the forestryat the beginning of production and puts pressure on the subsidiesfrom the state budget.Afforestation was concentrated in the areas of highconcentration of forests, in which a significant increase in alreadyhigh density of forests might not be desirable in terms of landscaping~ 340 ~
