their opinion an industrial ecosystem system should use energy andmaterials optimally, production of waste would be minimal andwaste materials should be used in other processes. Their system wasbased on material flow and energy metabolism in the industry.Industrial ecosystem should act as industrial parks in theenvironment. Cote [9] describes the eco-industrial park as anindustrial system in which the nature and economic resources arepreserved. This can be achieved by reducing production and lowerenergy consumption and the continued use of waste. Roberts pointsout that eco-industrial parks present industrial symbiosis whichincludes physical changes to materials, energy and water accordingto their ability to maintain ecological balance [10]. Most of theseeco-industrial parks are based mainly on the functioning of thenatural cycle of matter, which means that to the environment noadditional sources come, but all exceeded energy and waste isconsumed in this area. The best example in Europe for industrialecological park is Kalundborg in Denmark and some timber factoriesin Finland. Ecological Industrial Park in Kalundborg brings togethercompanies such as thermal power plant, oil refinery, pharmaceuticalfactory, the factory manufacturing plastic products, production ofsulfuric acid, cement works and also fish and local farming [11].All these work in symbiosis, which means that they all havetheir mutual benefit. Due to symbiotic activity of all actors there isno additional energy and waste in the environment, but everything isused again.Most of the cases described above are in terms ofindustrial ecosystems internal reorganization, but nobody can see theindustrial area as anthropogenic ecosystems with their functions.Also, no one is looking into solutions to increase ecosystemfunctions in ecosystems through sustainable methods, which couldcontribute to increase environmental stability. Destination ofincreasing industrial ecosystem functions is reflected in the fact thatin addition to impacts on water (retention, water purification and thecreation of the biotope) can simultaneously prevent the negativeeffects of noise, smell, wind, dust. Those problems could be solvedby ecoremediational approaches that will prevent the causes and notconsequences. Revitalization, which is based on natural ecosystems,can be already considered at the construction site plan and with thatthe sustainable development of the region can be realized, with thatthe problems of the industrial environment can be solved [7.12].~ 318 ~
