3. ECOREMEDIATION TEHNOLOGIESMan have been always changing and forming the nature andresult of that is increasing pressures on the natural environment. Thegrowing human pressures on the natural environment encouragegrowth of the brownfield sites and we have to clean them in differentways consider the development of knowledge and technologies.Today there are a various number of high technologies which caneffectively sanitate degraded areas but these tehnologies usuallyrequire a lot of input energy and money, are operationally toodifficult and often do not achieve the aims of sustainability.Increasingly important technology for the protection andrevitalization of degraded and threatened areas in recent time ismentioned ecoremediation (ERM). The concept of theecoremediation refers to use the sustainable systems and processesfor the remediation of the environment and its protection.Ecoremediation technologies include the principles of the nature ofthe buffer capacity, bioremediations and phytoremediations to helpretain, rewritten or neutralize a number of organic and inorganiccontaminants. By increasing the biodiversity ecoremediations put theecosystem back into balance and also reducing, preventing andeliminating the natural disasters. From this perspective in futurewould be necessary to include ecoremediation in any furtherdevelopment plans for each area [4]. Special priority ofecoremediation technologies is also reflected in the fact, thatencourages preventive and curative approaches includingenvironmental protection, which increase the ability of subsistence.By ecoremediation technologies to overcome the effects ofagricultural pollution, tourism, transport, industry, sites andsettlements. In practice the ecoremediation is used as a wetland, water and soil remediation, landfill remediation, riparian vegetationbelts, buffer zones, side sleeves, artificial wetlands, noise and dustbarriers, phytoremediation of contaminated sediments, cleaningfloors, cleaning drinking water, tertiary treatment hazardous wasteand clean water [5]. Ecoremediations are fully compatible withsoftware instruments and strategies for further development ofSlovenia.~ 278 ~
