that the higher is nitrogen content in compounds, or the closer is theratio C: N respectively, the higher is a presupposition that mineralnitrogen shall accumulate in soil environment. In case thatdecomposing organic matter is characteristic for C: N ratio higherthan 25:1, there prevail immobilization processes in the soil, andplants suffer from lack of nitrogen. From the viewpoint of indirect evaluation of the effect of appliedbacterial preparations BactoFil on intensification of atmospheric N-fixing in the soil the use of microbiological test of total nitrogenmineralization and nitrification is the most significant. In case ofincreased N-fixing also the content of nitrogen in live and non-livecomponent of soil organic compounds grows as well. Consequently,it shall reflect in intensified activity of ammonification microflora, and under favourable circumstances also of nitrification bacteria. It follows from table 3 unanimously that all appliedpreparations increased on each site the intensity of nitrogenmineralization and nitrification in the soil. BactoFil A and TeralytPlus had greatest effect on the site “Oščadnica IV pod porastom”,where TMN increased almost three times in comparison withcontrol. TMN was affected significantly positively on this site alsoby application of BactoFil B. On the site “Čadečka I” TMN and NITwere influenced positively mainly by applying hydrogel and liquidBactoFil. BactoFil B influenced the least both processes on the sites“Oščadnica II” and “Čadečka I” where it was applied in 2005.Especially one finding was surprising, that with TMN increase alsosignificant increase of nitrification occurred almost simultaneously, despite extremely low pH values. Nitrification bacteria are verysensitive to soil acidity. Optimum of pH for their activity is close toneutral point.~ 267 ~
