Before starting steam system (piping or engine), all spaces must be dry properly warmed. The system must be drained before use,<br />
and steam releasing very slow in the beginning. Very small steam quantity in the beginning will push condensate through drain<br />
system and heat all system as well.<br />
When we have working temperature and all system is drained main stop valve can be open easily. Water in the system is product of<br />
condensation, especially on the cold surfaces. The water can not be compressed. When the steam enters the system, steam is<br />
condensate so the mixture activate in the very low pressure (high vacuum). Water enters vacuum spaces very quickly what can<br />
cause damage. That phenomenon is called »water hammer«.<br />
Piping changes length during temperature change, so the compensators must be checked.<br />
Anyhow steam releasing must be done very slowly.<br />
