of weeds are diverse and inconsistent, and cannot reply more efficient weed control
methods (mechanical, chemical). Light-excluded tillage has generally caused
a greater reduction in broadleaved weed species than grasses. The efficiency of
night-time tillage depends on seasonal changes in light sensibility during the season
and different environmental factors. Tillage time of the year has a great importance on
the weed control effect of night-time soil cultivation. Tilling in the dark can be included
in integrated and organic weed management.
