SAŢETAK<br />

Raslojenost naslaga uglja glavni je uzrok neracionalnog korišćenja geoloških rezervi u lignitskim leţištima <strong>Srbije</strong>.<br />

U basenu Kolubara, na poljima zapadnog dela, ima preko 400 miliona tona vanbilansnog uglja koji se ne moţe ekonomiĉno<br />

koristiti u domaćinstvima i termoelektranama.U rudniku Kovin se deo sitnih frakcija otkopanog uglja ne koristi, već<br />

odbacuje kao jalovina.Rudnik Nova Manasija je nakon kratkotrajnog rada zatvoren zbog nemogućnosti selektivne<br />

ekonomiĉne proizvodnje kvalitetnog uglja iz ovog vrlo raslojenog leţišta.Tehnološkim itraţivanjima je razraĊen postupak<br />

odstranjenja balastne mase jalovine iz otkopanog rovnog uglja sa ova tri leţišta. U radu se ukazuje na mogućnost primene<br />

postupka u Kolubari i Kovinu, i naznake za eventualno ponovno razmatranje mogućnosti otvaranja Manasije.<br />

ABSTRACT<br />

Use of multilayer coal-waste deposits in Serbia, that are in particular characteristic for lignite deposits, are associated with<br />

inefficient utilization of coal resources in Serbia.Western parts of Kolubara Coalfields contain over 400 million tonnes of<br />

such ―out-of-balance‖ coal that cannot be used neither in households nor in power plants for production of energy. Coal<br />

Mine Kovin has a portion of its already excavated fine coal fractions directed to waste as well. As a result of high cost of<br />

selective mining of its multilayer deposits, Nova Manasija Mine has not been operating for a long time and closed relatively<br />

quickly.The technology has been developed for removal of waste matter from the run-of-mine coal from all three deposits.<br />

This presentation describes the opportunities for implementation of the coal cleaning process at Kolubara and Kovin and for<br />

assessment of the feasibility to reopen the Manasija Coal Mine<br />
