The first documented ecclesiastical act was connected to a funeral,<br />

and before 18 December 1760, the date of the first christening, we have<br />

no documentation of any sacramental services.<br />

Only four years earlier on 4 February 1756 the first orthodox priest<br />

permanently posted at Miskolc appeared for the first time in the records.<br />

A quick glance over the list of names immediately allows us to note that<br />

the first phase in the development of the religious community lasted until<br />

1756; furthermore we also have to consider whether or not there was any<br />
