Zajednički program <strong>UN</strong>HCR, <strong>UN</strong>ODC i IOM za borbu protiv <strong>trgovine</strong> <strong>ljudima</strong> u Srbiji<br />
o Assistance in resolution of civil and legal status (not just refferal to<br />
competent bodies, but activities of accompanying and representation before<br />
the competent institutions);<br />
o Psychosocial support;<br />
o Assistance in treatment of acute medical problems;<br />
o Support in treatment of chronic health problems;<br />
o Legal counselling;<br />
o Legal representation;<br />
o Psychological counselling;<br />
o Therapeutic work;<br />
o Family counselling;<br />
o Family mediation;<br />
o Provision of legal assistance in procedures other than human trafficking;<br />
o Assistance in inclusion into the formal educational system and labour<br />
market;<br />
Primary assessment and referral<br />
• Collect data on the reasons for the victims’ refusal to take part in<br />
the assistance programmes and on the level of satisfaction with the existing<br />
programmes with recommendations for improvement thereof;<br />
• Prescribe an obligation to establish status of the victims during pretrial<br />
and criminal proceedings (the number of the case, stage of proceedings,<br />
territorial jurisdiction of courts and other bodies through description of competencies<br />
of the Office for Coordination of Protection of Victims of Human<br />
Trafficking and forwarding the comprehensive information to the institution/<br />
organisation that the victim is referred to.<br />
Rehabilitation, reintegration, social inclusion<br />
• Enhance capacities of the existing social protection institutions (map<br />
the potential institutions in advance) for urgent reception of victims of human<br />
trafficking,<br />
• Insist on perception of shelter as a temporary solution;<br />
• Support alternative accommodation services as these are the first<br />
and the genuine premise for empowerment of the victims of human trafficking;<br />
• Ensure supervision of organisations and institutions (services founded<br />
by local governments) involved in protection of victims of human trafficking;<br />
• Direct funds to the civil society organisations involved in provision<br />
of direct assistance to victims of human trafficking from the budget line 481<br />
(budget allocations to non-governmental organisations, political parties, religious<br />
communities and sports associations) in a transparent and responsible<br />
manner;<br />
• Involve local governments in protection of victims of human trafficking<br />
and encourage them to order and contract social services with a view to<br />
protecting victims and potential victims of human trafficking.<br />
