ABSTRACT<br />

The thesis is dealing with organizatio<strong>na</strong>l climate from theoretical and practical point<br />

of view; in the practical part the climate in Music school of Nova Gorica was<br />

a<strong>na</strong>lyzed.<br />

In order to get data for measuring the climate we used a special question<strong>na</strong>ire to<br />

determine organizatio<strong>na</strong>l climate. Question<strong>na</strong>ire was based on different statements,<br />

all derived from organizatio<strong>na</strong>l climate dimensions. The statements were then rated<br />

by the employees with the help of enclosed scale, they could agreed or disagreed<br />

with each statement. Dimensions in which the employees gave their rating for each<br />

statement were: organization efficiency, affiliation to organization, knowing the<br />

mission, vision and goals of organization, ma<strong>na</strong>gement, attitude to quality, inter<strong>na</strong>l<br />

relations, inter<strong>na</strong>l communication and information flow, work gratification, expert<br />

knowledge and learning, in<strong>nova</strong>tion, initiative, career development, motivation,<br />

eagerness and payment system.<br />

After data was statistically processed, we came to conclusion that organizatio<strong>na</strong>l<br />

climate in Music school of Nova Gorica is quite good. Among all statements the ones<br />

regarding payment had the worst grades which means that employees are not pleased<br />

with the level of their salaries. Based on that we suggest that on school they revaluate<br />

the payment system keeping in mind that school is a part of public sector.<br />
