Rojen 1968. Eden od najuspešnejših mlajših bolgarskih avtorjev. 1999 je<br />

objavil roman z naslovom Naravni roman, za katerega je takoj dobil<br />

Nacionalno nagrado za prvi roman. Do sedaj je bil preveden in objavljen<br />

v treh jezikih. Objavil je tudi zbirko kratkih zgodb z naslovom In še druge<br />

zgodbe (2001) ter tri zbirke poezije: Lapidarij, 1992, Češnjevo drevo za<br />

enega, 1996 in Pisma Gaustinu (<strong>2004</strong>). Za večino svojih knjig je dobil<br />

vrsto nagrad. Trenutno živi v Sofiji, kjer dela za časopis Literaturen vestnik<br />

in končuje doktorat.<br />

Born in 1968. He is one of the most successful young Bulgarian authors.<br />

He writes poetry and prose. He published three books of poetry: Lapidarium<br />

(1992, National Debut Prize for Poetry), The Cherry-Tree of One<br />

People (1996, 2nd edition: 1998; Best Book Annual Award of the Association<br />

of Bulgarian Writers) and Letters to Gaustin (<strong>2004</strong>). His debut novel,<br />

Natural Novel (1999, 2nd edition: 2000), received first prize in a National<br />

Competition for Contemporary Bulgarian Novel. He also published a book<br />

And Other Stories (2001), a collection of short stories. At present he works<br />

as editor in Literaturen vestnik and is a Ph.D. candidate and researcher in<br />

the Institute for Literature, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.<br />
