Gordana Marunić je rođena u Rijeci. Nakon gimnazije, diplomirala je na Fakultetu strojarstva i brodogradnje u<br />
Rijeci, Sveučilište u Zagrebu. Neposredno nakon toga, započinje radom u visokoškolskoj ustanovi, tako da sada<br />
posjeduje znatno nastavno i pedagoško iskustvo vezano uz inženjersku grafiku. Rezultati njenog intenzivnog<br />
istraživačkog rada u području zupčanih prijenosnika tiskani su u brojnim radovima i predstavljeni na<br />
međunarodnim konferencijama. Red. prof. Marunić je bila predstojnik Zavoda za konstruiranje u strojarstvu, a<br />
sada je voditeljica Katedre za inženjersku grafiku na Tehničkom <strong>fakultet</strong>u u Rijeci, i član tehničkog odbora<br />
DZNM/TO 537. Posjeduje akademsko zvanje magistra i doktora tehničkih znanosti.<br />
