ਤੈਸੇ ਹੀ ਹਿਰ ਬਸੇ ਿਨਰੰਤਿਰ ਘਟ ਹੀ ਖੋਜਹੁ ਭਾਈ ॥੧॥
तैसे ही हिर बसे िनरंतिर घट ही खोजहु भाई ॥१॥
taisay hee har basay nirantar ghat hee khojahu bhaa-ee. ||1||
the Lord dwells deep within; search for Him within your own heart, O Siblings of Destiny.

ਬਾਹਿਰ ਭੀਤਿਰ ਏਕੋ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਇਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਿਗਆਨੁ ਬਤਾਈ ॥
बाहिर भीतिर एको जानहु इहु गुर िगआनु बताई ॥
baahar bheetar ayko jaanhu ih gur gi-aan bataa-ee.
Outside and inside, know that there is only the One Lord; the Guru has imparted this
wisdom to me.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਿਬਨੁ ਆਪਾ ਚੀਨੈ ਿਮਟੈ ਨ ਭਰ੍ਮ ਕੀ ਕਾਈ ॥੨॥੧॥
जन नानक िबनु आपा चीनै िमटै न भर्म की काई ॥२॥१॥
jan naanak bin aapaa cheenai mitai na bharam kee kaa-ee. ||2||1||
O servant Nanak, without knowing one's own self, the moss of doubt is not removed.

Dhanaasaree, Ninth Mehl:
ਸਾਧੋ ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲਾਨਾ ॥
साधो इहु जगु भरम भुलाना ॥
saaDho ih jag bharam bhulaanaa.
O Holy people, this world is deluded by doubt.
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਕਾ ਿਸਮਰਨੁ ਛੋਿਡਆ ਮਾਇਆ ਹਾਿਥ ਿਬਕਾਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
राम नाम का िसमरनु छोिडआ माइआ हािथ िबकाना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
raam naam kaa simran chhodi-aa maa-i-aa haath bikaanaa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
It has forsaken the meditative remembrance of the Lord's Name, and sold itself out to
Maya. ||1||Pause||
ਮਾਤ ਿਪਤਾ ਭਾਈ ਸੁਤ ਬਿਨਤਾ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਰਿਸ ਲਪਟਾਨਾ ॥
मात िपता भाई सुत बिनता ता कै रिस लपटाना ॥
maat pitaa bhaa-ee sut banitaa taa kai ras laptaanaa.
Mother, father, siblings, children and spouse - he is entangled in their love.
