ਰਾਗੁ ਿਬਹਾਗੜਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੯ ॥
रागु िबहागड़ा महला ९ ॥

Raag Bihaagraa, Ninth Mehl:
ਹਿਰ ਕੀ ਗਿਤ ਨਿਹ ਕੋਊ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
हिर की गित निह कोऊ जानै ॥
har kee gat neh ko-oo jaanai.
No one knows the state of the Lord.
ਜੋਗੀ ਜਤੀ ਤਪੀ ਪਿਚ ਹਾਰੇ ਅਰੁ ਬਹੁ ਲੋਗ ਿਸਆਨੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जोगी जती तपी पिच हारे अरु बहु लोग िसआने ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
jogee jatee tapee pach haaray ar baho log si-aanay. ||1|| rahaa-o.
The Yogis, the celibates, the penitents, and all sorts of clever people have failed.

ਿਛਨ ਮਿਹ ਰਾਉ ਰੰਕ ਕਉ ਕਰਈ ਰਾਉ ਰੰਕ ਕਿਰ ਡਾਰੇ ॥
िछन मिह राउ रंक कउ करई राउ रंक किर डारे ॥
chhin meh raa-o rank ka-o kar-ee raa-o rank kar daaray.
In an instant, He changes the beggar into a king, and the king into a beggar.
ਰੀਤੇ ਭਰੇ ਭਰੇ ਸਖਨਾਵੈ ਯਹ ਤਾ ਕੋ ਿਬਵਹਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
रीते भरे भरे सखनावै यह ता को िबवहारे ॥१॥
reetay bharay bharay sakhnaavai yeh taa ko bivhaaray. ||1||
He fills what is empty, and empties what is full - such are His ways. ||1||
ਅਪਨੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਆਿਪ ਪਸਾਰੀ ਆਪਿਹ ਦੇਖਨਹਾਰਾ ॥
अपनी माइआ आिप पसारी आपिह देखनहारा ॥
apnee maa-i-aa aap pasaaree aapeh daykhanhaaraa.
He Himself spread out the expanse of His Maya, and He Himself beholds it.
ਨਾਨਾ ਰੂਪੁ ਧਰੇ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੀ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਰਹੈ ਿਨਆਰਾ ॥੨॥
नाना रूपु धरे बहु रंगी सभ ते रहै िनआरा ॥२॥
naanaa roop Dharay baho rangee sabh tay rahai ni-aaraa. ||2||
He assumes so many forms, and plays so many games, and yet, He remains detached
from it all. ||2||
ਅਗਨਤ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਅਲਖ ਿਨਰੰਜਨ ਿਜਹ ਸਭ ਜਗੁ ਭਰਮਾਇਓ ॥
अगनत अपारु अलख िनरंजन िजह सभ जगु भरमाइओ ॥
agnat apaar alakh niranjan jih sabh jag bharmaa-i-o.
Incalculable, infinite, incomprehensible and immaculate is He, who has misled the entire
world.
