Western Serbia is well known by its uniqe haritage, discintive
culture, customs, traditional architecture, famous
specialities, healthy food and mild air. It represents a teritorry
which potentials are used to encourage production
of typical food products and handicrafts. By using its resources,
economy of Western Serbia achieves significant
results in agro industry (meat and milk processing, brandy
production, collecting of medicinal herbs and forest fruits,
production of juices, fruit sirups, jems, compotes, and vegitable
production and processing). Taking into account that
Western Serbia is one out of four leading tourism destinations
in Serbia, it is clear that tourism and typical production
are two sectors that have signifficant inffluence on the
development of the whole territory.
