- Unifying of rural-tourism product<br />

Purpose of study:<br />

Appeal to the importance of networking providers of<br />

rural-tourism products due to better performance in<br />

the market, due to better access and work on marketing<br />

activities and market communication.<br />

Guidelines and devise activities can be made on base<br />

of the results from the research which would encourage<br />

networking providers and integrating rural-tourism<br />

product.<br />

Methodology/Approach:<br />

Primary research (surveys and interviews) in relation<br />

to rural tourism and offer the rural-tourism market. To<br />

investigate if providers of rural-tourism products are<br />

linked together, if they cooperate and why do they cooperate<br />

and which are the reasons if they do not cooperate.<br />

Explore their ideas for improving the rural-tourism<br />

offer, and with the obtained results and systematization<br />

of existing knowledge of rural tourism come up to best<br />

approach to unifying rural-tourism products and networking<br />

of all actors in the rural tourism.<br />

Structured abstract<br />

Findings:<br />

Insight into the reasons of poor networking of actors<br />

in rural tourism, making guidelines and activities that<br />

would lead to better networking, opportunities of unifying<br />

rural-tourism products due to easily market access<br />

and compliance with EU norms. Successful unifiying<br />

rural-tourism products would result in bigger interest<br />

of the guests, and led to higher revenues and ensure<br />

the survival of rural providers of tourism products in the<br />

market, and thus Croatian Zagorje could become highly<br />

desirable European and international rural-tourism destination,<br />

and it has a lot of resources which are not being<br />

fully utilized or not utilized at all.<br />

Originality/Value:<br />

By combining the results of previous studies of other<br />

experts and their theories related to rural tourism and<br />

the implementation of own research and own previous<br />

studies it is possible major contribution to improving<br />

the rural-tourism. Direct communication with providers<br />

of rural-tourism products greatly contributes to the<br />

originality of this act, and with it increase its value.<br />

Research limitations/Implications:<br />

Limitations of this study are almost nonexistent, because<br />

of knowing the current situation in rural tourism<br />

and knowledge of Croatian Zagorje and rural providers<br />

of tourism products with which are collaborating on a<br />

daily basis due to the nature of work in the Department<br />

of Agriculture.<br />

Practical implications:<br />

The results obtained can be used to make strategic<br />

guidelines for improving the situation in the rural-tourism,<br />

and to design approach of connecting actors in rural<br />

tourism and unifying rural-tourism product.<br />
