A. Panimulang Gawain<br />

Ipakita ang larawan ng Diyos habang pinagmamasdan<br />

ang ginagawa ng mga tao. Itanong:<br />

“Bakit <strong>sa</strong> palagay ninyo pinagmamasdan ng<br />

Diyos ang ginagawa ng mga tao? Ano ang<br />

pinaniniwalaan natin na mangyayari kapag<br />

dumating na ang oras ng paghuhukom?” Kapag<br />

nabanggit na ang <strong>sa</strong>litang paghuhusga, <strong>sa</strong>bihin:<br />

“Ang kwento natin ngayon ay may kinalaman<br />

<strong>sa</strong> mga mag-aaral na mapanghusga. Alamin<br />

have faith?” Then <strong>sa</strong>y: “From our lesson today,<br />

you will understand more about faith. Open<br />

your magazine, Batingaw, on pp. 9-10, read<br />

the story and find out, too, how faith changed<br />

Amy’s life.<br />

B. Development Activity<br />

How does Amy differ from other teens?<br />

How did she develop that attitude? What made<br />

her change her ways? What new things did she<br />

learn about God? How did she feel after doing<br />

some good things for others? How did this affect<br />

her parents?<br />

C. Analysis<br />

Was Amy to be blamed for developing an<br />

indifferent attitude toward other people? How<br />

did she learn to change her ways? What did she<br />

feel when she started living her faith? In what<br />

other ways can we show that we are living our<br />

faith?<br />

One can honor God through manifesting the<br />

fruits of love, joy, peace, goodness, gentleness,<br />

and self-control.<br />

E. Application<br />

Nobody likes Aimee in school. Although<br />

she is beautiful, intelligent, and rich, she is<br />

always alone in the canteen, in the library, or<br />

anywhere in school. This is because she believes<br />

in herself too much. For her, she’s the<br />

best and she doesn’t need anybody. Until one<br />

day, her parents met a vehicular accident while<br />

on a business trip to Baguio. She did not know<br />

what to do. She was crying alone in the hospital<br />

for their immediate relatives are abroad. When<br />

your teacher learned about the accident, she<br />

told the class of her plan to visit Aimee. Would<br />

you go with your teacher? Do you think your<br />

classmates would go with your teacher, too, to<br />

the hospital? Justify your answer.<br />

F. Evaluation<br />

List down the different ways on how you<br />

can live your faith.<br />

Do you serve the church? If not, interview<br />

i<strong>sa</strong>ng mag-aaral upang isulat ito <strong>sa</strong> pi<strong>sa</strong>ra.<br />

Isulat din <strong>sa</strong> i<strong>sa</strong>ng hanay ang mga biyayang<br />

patuloy nilang tinatanggap. Lagyan ng heading:<br />

mga biyayang tinanggap at patuloy na<br />

tinatanggap. Ipaba<strong>sa</strong> ang lahat ng ito at bigyan<br />

ng pagkakataon ang ilang mag-aaral na magpahayag<br />

ng kanilang kuru-kuro tungkol dito.<br />

Pagkatapos, itanong: “May pagkakataon bang<br />

nabawa<strong>sa</strong>n ang inyong pananalig <strong>sa</strong> Diyos at na<strong>sa</strong>bi<br />

ninyong hindi Niya kayo anak?” Tumawag<br />

ng ilang mag-aaral kung gustong magkwento<br />

tungkol dito. Pagkatapos, <strong>sa</strong>bihin, “Ang ating<br />

aralin <strong>sa</strong> araw na ito ay tungkol <strong>sa</strong> i<strong>sa</strong>ng magaaral<br />

na tulad ninyo. Muntik na siyang mawalan<br />

ng pag-a<strong>sa</strong> dahil ang akala niya ay hindi siya<br />

anak ng Diyos. Ba<strong>sa</strong>hin ang kwento <strong>sa</strong> pahina<br />

14-15 ng inyong magasing Batingaw at alamin<br />

kung bakit.”<br />

hindi natin kayang dalhin.<br />

E. Paglalapat<br />

Magkasunod na namatay ang nanay at tatay<br />

ni George. Dahil dito, nawalan na siya ng paga<strong>sa</strong><br />

<strong>sa</strong> buhay. Ayaw na niyang mag-aral kahit<br />

meron siyang educational plan at nangako rin<br />

ang kanyang Tita Azon, kapatid ng kanyang ina,<br />

na hindi sila pababayaang magkapatid. Paano<br />

mo siya matutulungan upang magbago ang<br />

mapait na pananaw niya <strong>sa</strong> buhay?<br />

F. Pagtataya<br />

Isulat ang magagandang payong ibinigay<br />

ni Gino kay Mario na naging dahilan upang<br />

magbalik siya <strong>sa</strong> dati. Dagdagan pa ito kung <strong>sa</strong><br />

iyong palagay ay may kulang pa <strong>sa</strong> ibinigay na<br />

how Peter valued his life after reading the story<br />

on pages 16-17 of your Batingaw magazine.<br />

B. Development Activity<br />

What news items made Peter wonder why<br />

some people seem not to value life? How did he<br />

feel about them? What manifestations of God’s<br />

grace did he notice on his way to school? Do<br />

you give importance to them, too?<br />

How did Peter change his perception about<br />

life? What did he try to do because of the accident<br />

that happened to him? How was he <strong>sa</strong>ved<br />

from committing suicide?<br />

Do you also consider your life as God’s gift<br />

to you? Explain. Was Peter right in changing<br />

his regard for life after the accident that happened<br />

to him? Would you also feel that way if<br />

the <strong>sa</strong>me thing happened to you? Why? Who<br />

do you think was the man who enlightened<br />

him when he was about to push his wheelchair<br />

down the cliff? Justify your answer. Do you<br />

think life would still be the <strong>sa</strong>me for Peter after<br />

cancer which shocked everybody in the family.<br />

Nobody seemed to understand why of all<br />

people his father was suddenly stricken with a<br />
