MARCHEM, which produces textile auxiliary<br />

chemicals, continues its production in<br />

Bursa, Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone.<br />

Its main fields of activity are the production<br />

of pre-treatment chemicals, dyeing<br />

aids, printing paste and aids, finishing<br />

chemicals in the textile sector. It also<br />

imports some basic chemicals the textile<br />

sector needs and offers them to customers<br />

at competitive prices. It provides<br />

services especially in the cities that carry<br />

out fabric and yarn dyeing processes<br />

or where denim production enterprises<br />

are intensive in the textile sector in the<br />

country. It attaches importance to University-Industry<br />

cooperation and carries out<br />

joint R&D studies with Uludağ University<br />

in this context. Selim Samast, Production<br />

Manager of MARCHEM, stating that they<br />

have developed innovative, environmentally<br />

friendly and value-added products<br />

that the textile sector needs, replied our<br />

questions about the ITMA fair.<br />

What would you like to say about your<br />

production capacity, exports and<br />

target markets?<br />

“Our company, which takes export-oriented<br />

growth as a reference, currently<br />

exports to 5 countries. The share of<br />

exports in our production is around<br />

30%, and we aim to increase the<br />

number of countries and customers we<br />

export to, with our innovative products,<br />

which are the result of intensive R&D<br />

studies, and the fairs we attend.”<br />

Can you give information about the<br />

products you will exhibit at the ITMA Fair?<br />

“The importance of fairs for establishing<br />

new relationships is undeniable. In this<br />

sense, we attach importance to the<br />

ITMA fair, which is one of the meeting<br />

points of all components of the textile<br />

sector, and we participate in ITMA <strong>2023</strong>.<br />

Later, we will be at the fair in Bangladesh<br />

again this year.”<br />

How do you describe your company’s<br />

perspective on sustainability,<br />

environment, nature and human health?<br />

“We measure and reduce our water,<br />

energy and waste consumption<br />

in order to reduce the effects of our<br />

carbon footprint through our in-house<br />

operations in addition to producing<br />

ecological products. We are developing<br />

products that will reduce environmental<br />

impacts and make water and<br />

energy savings with its R&D studies.
