At the general assembly of the Turkish Plastics 

Industrialists Research, Development and Education 

Foundation, Yavuz Eroglu was unanimously reelected 

as president (PAGEV). Eroglu, who won every vote at the 

General Assembly held at the Kucukcekmece PAGEV Plastic 

Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, 

expressed his renewed confidence in the historic election that 

attracted such a large turnout. Eroglu expressed his gratitude 

to all the sector members who attended the General Assembly 

from Gaziantep to Istanbul, from Izmir to Kayseri, from 

Adana to Konya, and from everywhere else in Turkey. He also 

emphasized that they would continue to engage in the same 

kind of combative, effective, and value-creating activities as 

they have in the past. Eroglu emphasized that PAGEV, whose 

brand value has grown as a result of its solution-focused 

approaches to industry problems, has become one of the 

significant Non-Governmental Organisations’ in our nation 

and said, “PAGEV Plastics Excellence Centre, which is under 

construction, will be one of our most important projects 

that we aim to implement in the new period. Our PAGEV 

Plastics Centre of Excellence, which aims to transform the 

Turkish Plastics Industry into one of the important production 

bases in the world, will consist of 3 stages and 11 buildings. 

With the establishment of our PAGEV Plastics Excellence 

Centre, which will include Testing, Laboratory, Certification, 

Prototype Production and Consulting services in addition to 

R&D activities, we hope to create an essential ecosystem 

system that will be a first for our industry.

BOSSTURQ Series, the new high-capacity filling monoblock with complete AROL 

capping turret, was developed in 2020, and its filling group that already has a 

performance above the promised capacities with its nozzles and capping section. We are 

proud of having the highest capacity and efficiency filling design with the least head in 

its class. As with all other BOSS systems, its patented special nozzles that fill the bottle 

without touching the bottle have proven its performance in hygiene. The world’s best capping 

group manufacturer AROL has a complete capping turret on it. Between the sizes, 

changing parts and settings takes a 10 minutes. All materials are European and Japanase 

CE certified. It is made of 304 quality stainless steel and has a 14 mm thick chassis. It is

Alman sürücü ve otomasyon üretcs Baumüller’n Slovenya’dak 

ştrak, Baumüller Dravnja d.o.o.’nun genşletme 

çalışmaları neredeyse tamamlandı. 

Mart 2023’te yen açılan elektrk bleşenler bnası kullanıma 

hazır olacak.

The expansion of Baumüller Dravinja d.o.o., 

the Slovenian subsidiary of the German drive 

and automation manufacturer Baumüller, is now nearly 

complete. In March 2023, the newly opened 

electrical components building will be ready for occupancy: 

“With this new building, we are doubling our 

capacities in electrical production. 

Cable production will also move into the new building, 

giving us additional space for final assembly for sheet 

metal production. The additional space freed up by the 

relocation of logistics is being allotted to sheet metal 

production. 

New machines have arrived: a punching machine, a 

laser cutting machine, and welding robots for TIG arc 

welding. This will improve the capabilities of our stainless 

steel processing. We have also optimized our material 

supply by means of expanded storage areas and

In just a few weeks, the photovoltaic system on the hall roofs of Baumüller 

Dravinja will go on line. This measure will significantly reduce the 

company’s ecological footprint. The plant will thereby produce even 

more sustainably.

Baumüller Dravinja manufactures sheet steel, stainless steel, as well as 

aluminum solutions. Its products, including control cabinets, housings, 

and machine casings, are powder-coated and installed on machines

range of services for demanding one-off production through to series 

production. 

The plant also serves specific industry requirements. Medical technology

Slovenya merkezl Baumüller Dravnja d.o.o. sürekl büyüme halnde 

olan br şrket ve şu anda ülkenn ana ş temnatçılarından brdr. 1992 

yılından bu yana çalışan sayısı 32’den 370’e yükseld. Aynı zamanda, 

1992 yılında 3.600 metrekare olan üretm alanı 13.000 metrekarenn 

üzerne çıktı.

Continuous growth 

The Slovenia-based Baumüller Dravinja d.o.o. is a continuously 

growing company and now one of the country’s main employers. 

Since 1992, the number of employees has increased from 32 to the 

current total of 370. 

At the same time, the production space increased from 3,600 square 

meters in 1992 to over 13,000 square meters. 

“As a result of the capacity expansion, we will once again be looking 

for personnel and aim to grow to over 400 employees. I think this is 

especially good news for the residents of Slovenske

As Onur Ambalaj, after we declared this year as the "Year 

of Productivity", we made serious changes in the production 

area. We made minor changes to the factory layout, one of the 

major issues facing expanding businesses, in accordance with our 

production flow. 

We continue to create and add value around-the-clock in a fully operational 

manner in a stronger way thanks to our 7th Line, which we 

commissioned as our own production in November, all of which are 

domestic and national, and our new warehouse, which we started 

to settle in February. In order to maintain our productivity during this 

transition period, we spent days and nights at the newly opened line. 

Onur Ambalaj's ability to assess effectiveness from a wider viewpoint 

and not only in a few specific areas is one of his defining traits. As the 

other departments of our company, we, as the production department, 

also internalise this character and observe the results. Efficiency 

is dependent on more than just two factors, such as "Productivity: 

produce more" or "Consume less." As mentioned above, it is like a 

seesaw with many levers. 

In addition to the aforementioned, maintaining high staff motivation 

is another essential component of productivity. As Onur Ambalaj 

family, while we act like a family outside the factory, we adapt to our 

professional characters with all our levels within the factory. Our 

suggestion and reward system keeps employee motivation high 

and contributes to employees' sense of belonging.

sector of production for efficiency. We use the technology we use 

from the simplest job to the most comprehensive job to prevent our 

mistakes and to give us the ability to finish the job without second 

labour. However, we also use technology in production planning so 

that everyone has simultaneous access to the most recent data.

As Est Elektronk, we manufacture weghng nstruments and weghng 

components. We are one of the largest load cell manufacturers n Europe. 

We are also a manufacturer of weghng ndcators. For varous 

scenaros, we have devces wth varous software, nput, and output 

features. Our vehcle scale models are extensvely utlzed for the 

control of raw materal admsson and ext n the plastcs and packagng 

ndustres. We are the largest vehcle scale manufacturer n Europe and 

the thrd largest n the world. 

Another soluton for the same sector s our tank/slo weghng systems 

for montorng materal movement n slos. Weghng the tanks or slos 

s the smplest and most practcal way to keep track of the materal 

comng nto and gong out of the slos throughout tme. 

Also, we have belt scales that allow us to wegh tems or regulate the 

flow of materals on a producton lne. It s very mportant for operatonal 

effcency to perform ths weghng or control durng movement wthout 

stoppng the materal. 

Another product for the sector s our vertcal bag fllng scale. Wth our 

bag fllng scales functonng n the capacty range of 10–50 kg, vertcal 

fllng rates of up to 20 bags per mnute are possble. 

Another product for packaged products s our belt checkwegher. Our 

checkwegher products, whch come n varous models to accommodate 

goods of varous szes and weghts, can be suppled wth a 

stamp for commercal use n accordance wth the Packaged Products 

Regulaton and stop producton errors by ensurng that packaged goods 

are weghed precsely at the end of the process.

Sanay Bakanlığı’nın onaylı AR-GE merkez 

olsak da, Est Elektronk’ bugünlere 

getren ve Dünya’da sektöründe sözü 

geçen br konumda olmasını sağlayan 

özellğ; geçmşte ve günümüzde hep lerc 

tasarımlar yapması, patentler alması

Halhazırda AR-GE departmanımız, 25

In terms of organzatonal culture, Est Elektronk s an R&D company. R&D s a phenomenon that 

has evolved nto a tradton for us to do what has not been done. Despte the fact that we are an 

R&D faclty authorzed by the Mnstry of Industry, Est Elektronk’s ablty to create nnovatve 

concepts, get patents, and establsh tself as a market leader both hstorcally and currently s what 

has propelled the company to the present. 

Currently, our R&D department contnues ts actvtes as a drectorate employng 25 engneers. 

Engneers sklled n nterface and embedded software are avalable n addton to mechancal and 

electronc desgn teams.

As ESİT Elektronk, what knd of suggestons would you gve to your customers to pay

course, start wth desgn. Industral devces must have adaptable desgn models that are both 

long-lastng and allow for some adjustments, adaptable connectng optons, and, of course, a 

user nterface that can be customzed to meet varous needs. It s most undesrable f the devce 

becomes outdated n a short tme. 

We take care to construct a platform that wll be as flexble as feasble gven the ndustry’s potental 

workng scenaros so that we may locate alternatve resources rapdly n the event of supply dsruptons, 

as we have n the past. In addton, we take care to choose qualty brands wth contnuty 

n component selecton. The qualty of the equpment used n manufacturng and ts optmzaton

I can say that our bggest feature s that we do what has not been done

samplng rate of 800 Hz as standard on our Est ECI weghng ndcator. 

In the ndustry, ths value s 50 Hz. Agan, our Est ECI ndcator has a 

flter algorthm called “gResolver TM”. Ths dgtal flter s extremely rare 

for an nexpensve ndcator n the world because t can remove both 

hgh frequency and low frequency vbratons from the weghng system. 

Moreover, t does ths flterng so fast that the ndcator can fnalse the

also provde drect sales and servce to some markets where we do not 

have a representatve. We send about one-thrd of our entre output, as 

well as half of our output of load cells and weghng ndcators, abroad. 

Europe, Russa and Inda are our man markets. Apart from that, Turkc 

Republcs, Malaysa, Indonesa and Chna are among our mportant 

markets n Asa. In the Afrcan contnent, all North Afrcan countres, 

Tanzana, Kenya, Sudan, South Afrca, Senegal, Ethopa are our developng

8) If you evaluate 2022, how was t for you? What are your goals 

for 2023? 

2022 was a postve year for us, n whch we acheved growth. Accordng

are less mpacted by economc changes than other types of busnesses. 

Gong back to 2022 and the recent past just before, I can state that 

global raw materal, energy, and transportaton costs have ncreased 

sgnfcantly and wll contnue to do so n the near future. Hence, t wll be

2022 Yılı, bzm açımızdan büyüme sağladığımız olumlu br yıl olarak 

geçt. Geçtğmz yıllardan edndğmz tecrübe, teknolojk üretm yapan 

frmaların ekonomk dalgalanmalardan dğer frmalar kadar etklenmedğ 

yönünde… 

2022 ve hemen öncesndek yakın geçmşe baktığımızda, Dünya genelnde 

ham madde, enerj ve naklye malyetlernn son derece yükseldğn 

ve önümüzdek dönemde daha da yükseleceğn söyleyeblrm. 

Dolayısıyla üretc frmalar çn, üretm süreçlern %100 kontrol altına 

alabldkler ler br otomasyonla üretm yapmak, hata yapmamak, gerekl 

ölçüm ve tartım hassasyetn korumak gelecekte daha da öneml 

hale gelecek. Bz de tasarımlarımızda frmaların temel htyacı olan tartı

2023 yılına çok sayıda yen ürünle gryoruz. Tamamen yen br djtal 

yük hücres sers ve djtal grşl ndkatör sersn bu sene pazara sunduk. 

Bunun yanı sıra kullanıcı steklerne göre gelştrdğmz bazı yen 

yazılımları da müşterlermzn beğensne sunuyoruz. 

Ayrıca yenlenmş br torba dolum sstemn de, bu sene pazara sunuyoruz. 

Yne tartı otomasyonu çn öneml br eleman olan yük hücres, 

transmtternn yen model, TR4’ü de bu sene pazara sunacağız. 2023 

brçok yen ürün ve mevcut ürünlerde brçok yenlk getrecek özel br 

yıl olacak bzm çn… 

9) Son olarak eklemek stedklernz nelerdr? 

Öncelkle deprem bölgesnde hayatını kaybedenlere rahmet, hayatta 

kalan yakınlarına başsağlığı ve sabır dlerm. Yaralılarımıza da acl şfalar 

dlerm. Her ne kadar hayata devam etmeye çalışsak da bu büyük acı 

kalplermzde büyük br yara açtı. Bu yaşananları ömür boyu unutamayacağız, 

unutmamalıyız. Umuyorum k bu durumdan ders çıkararak 

öncelklermze nsanı, kaltey ve teknolojy koyablrz, gelecek nesller 

çn güzel br Türkye’y mras bırakablrz.

our load cell producton n our Istanbul factory, our addtonal buldng 

nvestment was completed n 2022. We are enterng 2023 wth many 

new products. We launched a completely new range of dgtal load cells 

and dgtal nput ndcators ths year. In addton, we also offer some new 

software that we have developed accordng to user requests to our 

customers. Ths year, we are also ntroducng an mproved bag fllng 

mechansm. Ths year, we wll also ntroduce TR4, a new model of the 

load cell transmtter that s a crucal component of weghng automaton, 

to the market. 2023 wll be a specal year for us, brngng many new 

products and many nnovatons n exstng products... 

9) Fnally, what would you lke to add? 

Frst and foremost, I send my condolences to the famles of those 

who pershed n the earthquake regon as well as my best wshes for 

kndness and patence. I wsh a speedy recovery to our wounded. Even 

f we make an effort to go on wth lfe, ths ntense sufferng has left us 

wth a sgnfcant heart wound. We wll not forget these events for the 

rest of our lves, we must not forget them. I’m hopng we can draw 

lessons from ths experence, put people, qualty, and technology frst, 

and leave behnd a stunnng Turkey for future generatons.

and our current state for our readers? 

Hi, my name is A.U. Hakan Tanrioven I was born in 1970 in Izmit. My primary, secondary, and 

high school education was completed in Izmit. I then left the Anadolu University's Public Administration 

Department unfinished and began a career in business by founding a construction 

company with my brother in 1992. After that, starting in 2000, I began working for İkiler 

Ticaret A., our family business, and entered the packaging industry.

Robatech AG. 1975 yılında, İsvçre’de Mr. Hans Meyer tarafından kurulmuş,

Robatech AG. A family business with the primary objective of producing 

Hot and Cold Glue Machinery and Application Equipment 

for the packaging sector, Hans Meyer founded it in Switzerland in 

1975. 

In fact, "ISPAK" one of the pillars of our nation's packaging industry, 

is where our paths first crossed with Robatech AG. We encountered 

Robatech AG in 1975 while making fresh investments inside 

ISPAK (Izmit Liquid bottling Inc.), which was founded by a group of 

businesspeople from Izmit, including us, with the intention of bottling 

and selling Izmit's renowned chin juice. We incorporated our 

family business, Ikiler into Robatech AG during those years as a 

result of Robatech's aim to grow its sales organization globally. It 

resulted in our undertaking the General Distributorship of Turkey. 

Which sectors do you offer products, brands and services 

as Robatech glue? What are the product groups you offer for 

packaging products? 

As Robatech, we produce industrial glue application machinery and 

equipment. Packaging is, of course, our main industry. Our equipment 

is used in the production lines of numerous manufacturers in 

this sector. Other sectors we operate in are Furniture, Mattress production, 

Automotive, Textile, Disposable Products, Printing, Graphics, 

Converting, Construction, Consumer Durables. We provide 

heated hot melt glue hoses, unique application heads, and components 

for various glue application techniques as well as glue application

locations, is the market leader when it comes to after-sales technical 

support. All of our customers can access uninterrupted, roundthe-clock 

technical help from us at four locations: the Izmit headquarters, 

the European side of Istanbul, the Adana, and the Izmir 

areas.

What do you think is its position in the Turkish market? 

Robatech is one of the leading companies in the world market in its 

sector. It would be accurate to say that our company is the second 

largest in the world in its industry as a whole because we specialize 

in a certain area. I am talking about a structure that has sales 

and technical service organisation in more than 90 countries in the 

world. By creating novel products with cutting-edge technology for 

sustainability that respects nature and prioritizes energy efficiency, 

our company aims to make the bonding processes acceptable for 

use in many more sectors of the industry. 

It would be fair to state that Robatech Turkey is the industry leader 

in the Turkish market in terms of sales and technical support prowess, 

brand strength, activity area, and customer happiness. 

How do you evaluate 2022 in terms of production, growth and 

exports for Robatech? 

We at Robatech ended 2022 with a double-digit growth rate. Our 

growth continues in almost every sector. But the packaging sector 

is our locomotive sector. Every advancement in this discipline 

benefits us in our particular field. For a company like Robatech, the

ambalaj malzemeler ve teknolojler, ürünlern sürdürüleblrlğ 

ve çevresel etkler göz önünde bulundurarak sürekl olarak gelştrlmekte 

ve yenlenmektedr. 

Gelecekte ambalaj sektörü, daha da sürdürüleblr, çevre dostu ve 

yenlkç olmaya devam edecektr. Ambalaj malzemeler; ger dönüştürüleblr, 

doğada çözüneblr veya yenleneblr olacak şeklde 

tasarlanacaktır. Teknoloj, ambalaj süreçlernn otomatkleştrlmes

gelmektedr. Buna en yakın örnek Almanya’da mayıs ayında düzenlenecek 

olan Interpack 2023 fuarında, brçok Türk frma katılımcı 

olarak yerlern almış durumda. Bu frmalar aynı zamanda, bzm de

• Sürdürüleblr ambalaj uygulamaları: Tüketclern sürdürüleblr 

ürünlere olan talepler arttıkça, ambalaj sektörü de daha sürdürüleblr 

malzemeler ve tasarımlar üzernde çalışmaya odaklanacaktır. 

Bu nedenle, kağıt, karton, byoplastk gb doğal ve ger dönüştürüleblr 

malzemelern kullanımı artacak, plastk ambalajların kullanımı 

se azaltılacaktır. 

• Akıllı ambalaj uygulamaları: Akıllı ambalaj uygulamaları, ürünlern 

taşıma, depolama ve satış süreçlernde zleneblrlğ arttırmak ve 

crucial role in keeping the business innovative and competitive.

this division consistently develops new goods and technology. 

The R&D division studies fresh concepts, monitors

How do you evaluate the developments in Europe and the world 

regarding the sector? What are your 2023 expectations? 

The packaging sector is a constantly growing and developing sector 

worldwide. This industry performs crucial tasks such product 

protection, transportation, storage, and marketing. The sustainability 

of products and environmental effects are taken into consideration 

as new packaging materials and technologies are developed 

and updated. 

The packaging sector will remain even more inventive, environmentally 

conscious, and sustainable in the future. Packaging materials 

shall be designed to be recyclable, biodegradable or renewable. 

The technology will be made more efficient and economical by automating 

and optimizing packaging processes. 

The packaging industry will also change and evolve with the rise of 

e-commerce and digital sales channels. There will be a demand for 

packaging solutions that are safer, more functional, and lighter in 

this sector. Furthermore, smart packaging will be used for tracking, 

monitoring and controlling products. 

As a result, the packaging business will keep changing in order to 

meet shifting customer demands and environmental concerns. 

This industry contributes significantly to global economic growth 

and will be crucial to innovation and sustainability. 

In our nation, the packaging industry is developing very quickly, 

and all other sectors encourage this growth. For this reason, I believe 

that the packaging industry should always lead all others and 

grow more quickly than they do. At this point, many manufacturers 

in our country have a say in the world. 

The event closest to this is Interpack 2023, which will be held in 

May in Germany and where numerous Turkish businesses have already 

signed up to exhibit. These companies are our customers as 

well. In order to respond to this trend, Robatech Turkey is continuing 

to exert all of its resources.

invdustry in 2023: 

• Sustainable packaging applications: The packaging sector will 

concentrate on developing more sustainable materials and designs 

as customer demand for sustainable products rises. In order to limit 

the usage of plastic packaging, more natural and recyclable materials 

including paper, cardboard, and bioplastics will be used. 

• Smart packaging applications: Applications for smart packaging 

will be utilized to improve product traceability during the transport, 

storage, and sales processes as well as to give consumers more 

knowledge about items. The quality and safety of the products 

will improve as a result of these applications, and consumer confidence 

will be preserved. 

• E-commerce packaging: With the rapid growth of the e-commerce 

sector, the packaging industry will also produce solutions 

for this area. To avoid product damage and to safeguard products 

throughout storage and transport procedures, e-commerce packaging 

will be strengthened and made more secure. 

• Precautions against micro plastics: Micro plastics are known to 

cause environmental pollution. The packaging industry will create 

strategies to address this problem and lessen the use of microplastics. 

• Innovative designs: Packaging designs are crucial for items to 

stand out, boost brand recognition, and draw in customers. Therefore, 

the packaging industry will also develop innovative and aesthetically 

attractive designs.

Sustainability is also a priority, specifically regarding oil consumption.

Working Principle 

• It is designed with a conveyor belt system that can be changed according to the production line.. 

• Bags provided on demand, placed in molds. The products taken to the filling unit are weighed 

automatically.. 

• The mold filled with the product enters the vibration process and the product gaps are removed. 

The system automatically carries the molds to the front of the vacuum unit.. 

• When the previous mold vacuuming process is finished, the system takes in the new mold and 

starts the vacuuming operation. 

• From here, the package vacuumed in the mold is taken from the band with the help of a robot and 

sent to the stacking unit. This process continues cyclically..

Kırma şlemnden gelen bu plastk parçalar, br plastk granül ekstrüder 

le ger dönüştürüleblr. POLYSTAR, sert çapak plastk ger dönüşümü 

çn (PE, PP, ABS, PS rjt çapak), Repro-Drect slo beslemel ger dönüşüm 

maknasını tasarladı. 

Sert (rjt) plastk çapaklar, Repro-Drect le şlendğnde vdalı besleme 

sstem vasıtasıyla doğrudan sloya beslenr ve buradan yne drekt olarak 

ekstruder vdasına aktarılır. Besleme hızı malzeme mktarına göre 

otomatk olarak ayarlanır. Böylece stkrarlı besleme (aşırı ya da az olmayacak 

şeklde) le verml br ger dönüşüm şlem gerçekleşmş olur. 

Malzemey drekt şleyen bu sstemle süreç daha kolay ve daha hızlı hale 

getrr ve üretm hatlarınız çn yüksek kaltel granüller üretmenz sağlar. 

2. From rigid regrind to recycled pellets 

These plastic pieces coming from the shredding can be 

recycled with a plastic pelletizer extruder. POLYSTAR 

designed the solution for rigid regrind (hard plastic regrind, PS, 

ABS), Repro-Direct. 

Hard plastic regrind is fed straight into the hopper in Repro-Direct, 

eliminating the requirement for pre-heating before extrusion. 

This system makes the process easier and faster for these highly 

abrasive materials throughout the whole pelletizing machine. Providing

We have heard the term Industry 4.0 quite a lot. So what is 

Industry 4.0? Let’s take a closer look. 

Industry 4.0 aims to bring together information technologies and vital 

mechanisms. 

This term was discussed for the first time at a technology fair in Germany 

in 2011. It has been called the fourth industrial revolution. 

Industry 4.0 is a collection of systems made up of the internet of articles, 

cyber-physical systems, and internet services, where company operations 

are handled by scientific data-based approaches. Industry 4.0 

basically aims to further digitalize the industry by using the advanced 

technology available. 

Internet of Articles: Explains the wireless communication of machines 

with each other. 

Internet of Services: The individuals who offer services over the Internet, 

the individuals who receive them, and the relationships between 

them will all be made possible by the software and services.

Robots are at the heart of Industry 4.0. They are robots that manage

It envisages the proliferation of unlit and unmanned production sites 

called ‘smart factories’. In addition to these, 3D printers are another 

dimension of Industry 4.0. With the help of these printers, dependence 

on big businesses may be completely eliminated and all demands can 

be easily created at home. 

Smart Factories: In other words, digital factories offer remote involvement, 

real-time production monitoring, and efficiency in manufacturing. 

Smart Robots: It covers robots working with artificial intelligence. 

Cloud Computing System: Cloud systems, a type of data storage sharing 

service, can be accessed from computers and other smart devices.

The packaging’s appealing and beautiful appearance does 

not make up for the customer’s challenging handling of the packaging. 

Packaging design should be functional, durable (impact, wetting, 

damage, etc.), resistant to deterioration. 

Packaging should reflect your brand identity 

We said that packaging design is like the clothes of the product. It is 

not enough to be creative and functional when designing packaging. 

Also, the package must include information on the product’s use and 

the benefits of purchasing it. Both the buyer and the seller benefit 

from the textual information on the box, such as the expiration date, 

weight, price, product composition, company name, and description 

of usage. Packaging design is not only the clothing but also the language 

of the product. 

Another thing to keep in mind is that the text and forms shouldn’t 

blend in with the background color, and the messages that need to be 

there should go where they can be seen. 

The perfect package should convey information while preserving the 

product’s aesthetic appeal. 

Sales of a poor product cannot be increased by packaging alone, and 

vice versa for good products and poor packaging designs.

Ayrıca programa katılanlar yardım çabalarına dkkat çekerek, Türkye 

ve Surye’de yardım sağlamak çn yorulmadan çalışanlara saygılarını

sektörünü bçmlendren trendler üzerne, The PackHub’ın Kurucusu 

Leading multi-format event organiser Easyfairs is celebrating 

following a blockbuster showing from its Packaging Innovations 

& Empack, Featuring Contract Pack & Fulfilment showcase, 

which was met with a rapturous response from attendees and exhibitors 

alike. 

Registrations to the event were at a record high and over 6,500 

unique attendees visited Birmingham’s NEC over the course of the 

two-day event, a substantial 21% increase when compared to 2022’s 

showing. 

Tributes were paid throughout the show to those affected by the 

catastrophic earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, which first struck on 6 

February, the week before doors opened at Packaging Innovations. 

It meant several booths were left empty as well-known Turkish exhibitors 

were unable to attend, including ABY Plastic Packaging and 

Energy Industry Inc., Adanus Plastic, Folyopak Packaging Industry 

and Trade Inc., MTM Plastic, Sepas Plastic Packaging Inc. and Unal 

Synthetic Weaving and Industry and Trade Inc. Those attending 

the show also highlighted the relief effort, and paid tribute to those 

working tirelessly to provide aid on the ground in Turkey and Syria. 

In addition to the constant crackle of networking taking place on the 

show floor, delegates were enlightened by a series of insightful talks 

held on three stages. A particular highlight was an enthralling speech

Hub, who placed the spotlight on the resurgence of paper-based

Toshihiro Yoshimura, CEO of foodservice business Waso, was impressed 

by the new Foodservice Zone, hosted in partnership with 

the Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA), saying “This was my 

first time at Packaging Innovations. I didn’t expect such an amazing 

variety of packaging solutions – I found everything I need to improve 

my foodservice business.”

TOOK PLACE BETWEEN 28-30 MARCH 

28-30 Mart 2023 tarhler arasında, Özbekstan’ın Başkent Taşkent’te 22. Uluslararası Gıda, Malzemeler ve 

Üretm Teknolojler – Uzfood fuarına yoğun lg gösterld. En öneml gıda fuarlarından brs olan UzFood, yerl ve 

yabancı sektörün önde gelen lder frmalarını ağırladı. Uzfood fuarına; 2023 yılında da hem ulusal hem de küresel 

gıda pazarlarının önde gelen üretcler, tedarkçler ve dstrbütörler katıldı. 

Fuarda; süt ürünler, şekerlemeler, et ve kümes hayvanları, gıda endüstrs ekpmanları, gıda bleşenler, paketleme 

sstemler ve horecaya yer verld. 

Türkye’den Nefamak Otomasyon Müdürü Özgür Yüce fuar çn: “Bz Nefamak mühendsleryz. Geçtğmz dönemde 

brçok fuara katıldık ve UzFood’un bzm çn en verml fuarlardan br olduğunu rahatlıkla söyleyeblrz.

Teknolojler – Uzfood fuarında yer aldık. Sektör profesyonellerne, katılımcılara ve zyaretçlermze dergmzn 

dağıtımını gerçekleştrdk. 

22nd International Conference will be held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, from 28 to 30 March 

2023. There was a lot of interest in the Uzfood fair for International Food, Ingredients, and Production 

Technologies. One of the most significant food events, UzFood, welcomed the industry’s top domestic and international 

leaders. 

Leading producers, suppliers, and distributors from the domestic and international food markets took part at the Uzfood 

show in 2023. Dairy products, confectionery, meat and poultry, food industry equipment, food components, 

packaging systems and horeca were exhibited at the fair. 

Nefamak Automation Manager Ozgur Yuce from Turkiye for the fair: “We are the Nefamak engineers. We have 

attended numerous fairs in the past, and we can without a doubt claim that UzFood is among the most fruitful fairs

You cannot leave Izmir without seeing the ancient city of Ephesus. 

The construction of the ancient city of Ephesus began around 100 

BC. It is one of the most important cities of its period. Places to see in the 

ancient city of Ephesus; Celsus Library, Hadrian’s Temple, the Grand Theater, 

one of the most magnificent structures of Ephesus, the Odeon Theater and 

the Hillside Houses belonging to the rich families of the city. 

Another route you can visit in Selçuk district is Şirince Village. This village is a 

wonderful combination of Turkish and Greek culture. In the narrow streets of 

the village, you can find stalls and shops selling organic products.

Konak: Alsancak, Basmane, Kemeraltı ve Konak Meydandan oluşuyor.

Konak: It consists of Alsancak, Basmane, Kemeralti and Konak Square. 

We can also say Konak is the heart of Izmir. We recommend you to visit 

the Archaeology Museum here. You can leave the museum and go down to the 

beach, after seeing the Clock Tower, you can visit the historical Kemaralti bazaar. 

Alsancak: Arkas Art Museum is definitely a must-see. And the entrances are free 

of charge. You can’t go to Alsancak and not walk along the promenade. Afterwards, 

you can visit Kibris Sehitler Street.

1904, this church stands out as the first Catholic Church in Karsiyaka. 

One of the places you can visit in Karsiyaka is Hamza Rüstem Photography 

House. This is the oldest photography studio in Izmir. From 

here, you can take the tram to Bostanli and enjoy the unique beauty of 

the sunset at the Seyir Teras. You cannot talk about Karsiyaka and not 

mention the Homeros Valley. This is a great place where you can have 

a picnic and get away from the noise and stress of the city.

In the center of the district, Cesme Castle stands out with its artifacts

of the sea creates a natural pool. The city we would recommend as a 

historical site is the ancient city of Erythai. In this place, which means 

“Red City” in Greek; there are theater, Cybele Rocks, Heroon, Athena

has the title of Turkey’s Cittaslow (the first 

calm city). When you mention Seferihisar, the first thing 

that comes to mind is Sigacik. Sigacik Castle is one of 

the places you should definitely see here. The Balikci 

village is a perfect route for vacationers who want to 

put their yachts on the water or dive and spear fish. 

• Teos Ancient City 

With a history dating back to 1000 BC, Teos Ancient 

City is a tiny harbor city built on the peninsula. There 

are many ruins that have survived to this day.
