EN 1307, the European Standard which measures theperformance of textile flooring, has recently annexed extra clauses to this standardto recognise that flocked floor coverings differ from textile flooring.en1307 annexe F – abrasion resistancein this new standard, the pile surface of the flocked flooring is rubbed back and forth 1,000times with a 2cm wide pointed metal blade loaded with a 2kg weight. the aim of the test isto establish the durability of the flocked flooring. At least 50% of the pile must be retainedat the end of the test for the product to meet the standard’s requirement. Flotex offers a completely different dimension in flooring as it combines all the hard
