MARMOLEUM, CO 2
NEUTRAL, NATURALLY
We’re pleased to announce that our Marmoleum (2.5mm) flooring
is now produced CO2 neutral and verified by a third party
environmental product declaration (EPD).
The CO2 generated in the extraction, transportation and
manufacturing process of Marmoleum is neutralised by the
removal of CO2 throughout the growing phase of its natural
ingredients such as flax, wood flour, jute and rosin.
We all need to make more conscious decisions when it comes to
selecting building and interior materials, we believe Marmoleum is
a solution and can help reduce the embodied carbon of future and
refurbished buildings.
In addition Forbo Australia is also taking local action against climate
change. Every m2 installed helps to restore Australian native
landscapes through tree planting in partnership with Carbon
Neutral Charitable Fund (CNCF). Seeds are harvested locally to
ensure planting supports the natural biodiversity of the local area.

Topshield2
All Marmoleum floors include Topshield2, a
double UV-cured finish which is scratch and
scuff resistant, easy to maintain and ensures
a long lasting appearance retention.
Topshield2 is also naturally bacteriostatic,
resistant to chemicals and hand
disinfectants, making it an ideal solution
for all heavy traffic environments such
as schools, healthcare, offices and public
buildings.
Welding
In the majority of installations, Marmoleum
does not need to be welded as it is
completely dimensionally stable and
will not shrink. However, if welding is
the preferred option, there are matching
welding cords for every Marmoleum design.
