YÜKSEK LİSANS PROGRAMI
Biyomühendislik anabilim dalında, “Biyoinformatik ve Sistem Biyolojisi”
yüksek lisans programı altında eğitim verilmektedir. Türkiye'de
Biyoinformatik ve Sistem Biyolojisi alanlarını birleştiren ilk yüksek lisans
programı olan program, %100 İngilizce olarak eğitim vermektedir.
Disiplinlerarası özellikte olan program, öğrencilerine genom ölçekli biyolojik
verilerin anlamlandırılması ve bu sayede hastalıklara kişiye-odaklı çözümler
geliştirilmesi, hücrenin çalışma prensiplerini anlayarak endüstriyel ürün
geliştirilmesi gibi konularda araştırma yapma imkânı sunmaktadır. Bu
bağlamda öğrencilerin, moleküler biyoloji, biyomühendislik ve bilgisayar
mühendisliği bilim dallarının kesişim alanlarıyla ilgili temel kavramlar ve
yöntemleri hücredeki moleküler etkileşimleri anlama odaklı uygulama, ve
analitik düşünme, bilimsel ve endüstriyel problemleri eleştirel
yorumlayabilme becerisi kazanmaları amaçlanmaktadır.
M.Sc. PROGRAM
The current active M.Sc program in Bioengineering Department is
“Bioinformatics and Systems Biology” program. This is the first MSc
Program in Turkey that brings Bioinformatics and Systems Biology together.
Medium of instruction is English. The interdisciplinary program provides the
participants with opportunities to do research, among others, on the
analysis of genome-wide biological data, the design of personalized
strategies for the prevention and treatment of diseases and industrial
product development by the elucidation of working principles of the cell.
Within this context, the program aims to donate students with expert
knowledge and skills on the use of principles and methods for the
interdisciplinary areas between molecular biology, bioengineering and
computer engineering to analyze molecular interactions in cell, and develop
analytical thinking for critical analysis and questioning of scientific and
industrial problems.
